[Light Returns] The Day the Sea of Hakata Island Opened Up from the Dark Cave of Note Monetization
"I want to earn money with a note side hustle!"
"First, I need to do some research!"
Thinking that, I was alone at my PC
scouring note around November 2025.

This was before Harunezumi was born.
My income dropped after changing jobs with no experience.
I moved from a 3-year-old, 10-tatami mat apartment
to a 20-year-old, 6-tatami mat apartment.

Only my large refrigerator
seemed to have a strange presence.
It would have been fine if I lived alone.
But things are different when you have a girlfriend.
"I want to have a grand wedding with my girlfriend!"
"I want to put my parents' minds at ease!"
"To do that, I have to increase my income...!!"
With those thoughts, I started
"note monetization"
research.
1:00 AM.
In the darkness,
alone in my cramped apartment.
With the light of the fluorescent lamp as my partner,
as I stared at my PC,
a certain account caught my eye.

"What is this?"
Blue sky
Blue sea
White beach.
"I think I'll go to this island for a bit."

On a whim,
but definitely,
"Ippobito-san's Hakata Island"
drew me in.
"If I could be the catalyst for your 'first step'"
"Wow, this is amazing...!"
(I was so moved I lost my vocabulary)
I got goosebumps,
and I couldn't move from in front of my PC for about 10 minutes.
In my 6-tatami room,
the blue sea of Hakata Island was spreading out.

That was how much
I was immersed in the worldview created by
Ippobito-san's writing and illustrations.
"I want to learn about note from this person!"
Thinking that, the next thing I read was this series.

I couldn't stop scrolling through note. I read through the
Account Design Technique
series one after another.
Especially these three parts.
I understood the reason why
Ippobito-san's account burns into your brain.
I would like you to read Ippobito-san's articles for the details, but...
This is an article from one of Harunezumi's
weeks👇️

A sea of pink. Actually, I was using Ippobito-san's
Account Design Technique as a reference for this!
By the way, this article by Ippobito-san was published on 11/24.
Harunezumi was born on 12/7.
I was right in the middle of designing my account. I discovered it just in time during that period.

---
And that is the story up until the birth of Harunezumi.
I started off with great momentum from there, but it wasn't smooth sailing the whole time.
I certainly sold paid articles and succeeded in monetization.
I was blessed with many followers.

However, around the time I finished 100 consecutive days of posting,
there were more days where my hands would stop
while facing my PC late at night.
I've put out the how-to articles.
What direction should I go from here...
What kind of articles are expected of me...
The further I went, the more I was met with
a darkness without answers.
It felt like I was groping my way through a dark cave.

While moving through that cave,
a ray of light began to appear.
What lay beyond that was,
once again, that blue sea.
It was "Ippobito-san's Hakata Island."
Recently, what I have been talking about in my articles has been nothing but
explanations
.
・How to increase followers
・How to write paid articles
・Proper interaction
I wasn't saying anything wrong.
But my hands stopped typing.
Anyone can say the right thing.
In fact, AI can do it in an instant.
I was literally dragging myself
to be buried in the sand.

What was missing from my articles now was
a "story"
.
Ippobito-san's articles are like
sitting on the beach looking at the sea together,
smiling at me from beside me.
That was the experience.

After that, I thought about it again.
"What is Harunezumi's story...?"
When I was asking myself that,
I read this article and
gasped out loud.
I got goosebumps.
"How to create a character"
when told that,
"There is a character called Harunezumi"
"But something is missing in who I am now"
That's what I thought.
But as I read through the article,
I understood what was missing in me now.
It was,
"a place"
Ippobito-san
"Hakata Island"
is talking from there.
That's why
The sea, the sea breeze, cats, crabs
These stimulate all five senses and bring a picture to mind.

What about Harunezumi now?
Nothing.
I'm not saying anything wrong, but
no scenery comes to mind.
"Harunezumi, where do you speak from?"
When I was asked that, there was a place I remembered.
It was an
"Izakaya"

That shop I was a regular at during my student days.
The scent of charcoal at the counter,
the chatter of the regular sitting next to me.
For some reason, it was all so comforting.
Actually, until I reached 1,000 followers,
I ran a magazine like this.
"If you comment, I'll add you to the magazine as a 'regular'!"
That was the magazine.
I went to like the articles of the creators
I registered every single day.
However, as the number of people grew,
there was a limit to how many I could go around and like...
I ended it with a "Full House" sign.

Here, the important light of the"Izakaya"went out.
I might have lost
the important place called an "Izakaya"
that was so dear to me.
That's what I realized.
So I decided.
I am bringing back the "Regulars Magazine".
For those who have commented so far, I will add you to the
Regulars Magazinein order!
(I will proceed little by little, so please wait a moment...!)
And of course, if you comment now, I will add you to the
Regulars Magazine!
Since this is a small shop run by one person, I might be a little slow in visiting you.
I might be a little slow in visiting you.
But once I finish prepping the shop, I will visit you in turn!
"Izakaya Harunezumi" is reopening!!
I am lighting up the shop once again.

A place you feel like dropping by for some reason.
I aim to make
"Izakaya Harunezumi"
that kind of place.
I would be happy if your steps felt a little lighter on your way home.
If you leave a comment, you are a regular too 🐭
I would be happy if you felt free to give me a "grand opening" greeting ☺️
I am prepping the usual dishes today as well.

Special Thanks to Ippobito-sama
The illustration for this article was commissioned from Ippobito-san.
I am filled with gratitude for being able to collaborate with "Ippobito-san's Hakata Island" while keeping the world of "Harunezumi" intact ✨️

The illustration was "commissioned," but
the story is a "true story."
In addition to the illustration,
they have supported me at key milestones on Note.
Thank you so much!
I look forward to your continued support☺️
