AI Challenge from Age 64 | Chapter 2-1: The First Thing I Asked AI — It All Started Here —
I will be honest.
From here, my life began to move.
It might sound a bit exaggerated.
But,
for me, it really was.
When I first started touching AI,
I didn't even know what it could do,
and I was just feeling my way through it.
The first thing I did was
look it up on YouTube and note.
・What is AI?
・How do I use it?
・What can it do?
I looked at various things,
and I felt like I understood it somewhat, but
“So, what would I use it for?”.
I would stop right there.
And then,
I tried copying and typing in the “prompts (questions)”
that appeared there.
Or,
I wondered, “What would happen if I asked it like this?”
While doing things like that,
I tried various things
and played around with it.
But one day,
I suddenly thought.
“In the first place, what do I want to do?”that is.
This was
a major turning point.
・What do I want to do?
・What am I good at?
・What are my strengths?
Honestly, for myself,
I couldn't come up with an answer right away.
Rather,
“I don't really know myself as well as I thought…”and
that is how I felt.
That's when I thought.
“What would happen if I asked AI about this?”that is.
So,
I asked AI this question.
"You are an excellent marketing consultant.
I want to try creating a product of my own.
However, I'm not clear on what I'm good at or what I want to share.
Based on the following information, please organize my strengths and suitable themes for content creation."
(From here, information about my past, what I want to do in the future, etc.)
This was
the"first question I seriously asked AI"
.
Thinking about it now,
it's a bit dramatic, isn't it? (laughs)
But at the time,
"I want to know about myself"
that was all.
In the information scattered here and there,
"Leverage your strengths..."
isn't that often written?
You see it quite often, don't you?
"Your own strengths"...
"Things you like"...
"Things you want to do"...
Even if I'm told that...
honestly, I didn't know, so
I tried asking AI.
Then,
looking at the answer that came back,
I couldn't help but feel this way.
"Oh, that's certainly true."
"Now that you mention it, maybe so..."
I see.
Heh.
Ho.
"I was able to notice things I hadn't noticed myself."that.
This, this experience,
was really huge.
It was my "first thrill."
Perhaps I
felt something.
And from here,
the flow of how I interact with AI
changed.
"If you don't know, try asking."
"If you're lost, try consulting it."
This feeling
became natural to me.
In other words,
I stopped just "using" AI and
started "consulting" it.
This was the biggest change for me.
And now,
I am writing this note.
• Being able to share.
• Being read by others.
• Building connections.
• Being able to continue.
Everything,
"I tried asking AI about myself"
started from here.
After all,
if you don't try,
if you don't take action,
I realized thatrealizationscannot be gained.
To put it grandly,
truly, asmall stepallowed me to move to
the next stage.
That is what
I feel.
If you are currently thinking,
"I don't know what to do".
If you think that,
first of all,
please try asking about "yourself".
You don't need to overthink it.
"What are my strengths?"
"What am I suited for?"
I think that is enough.
Surely,
it will give you some hints back.
And that,
might become
"your next step."
For me,
that was exactly the case.
AI is not for doing difficult things,
it might be
"a trigger to take a step forward."
What about you?
"What is the first thing you want to ask AI?"
Please, do not hesitate to ask.
It might tell you something you never expected.
Seniors, aim high with AI.
Thank you so much for reading until the end.
Having you read this,
and receiving your likes and comments,
is a great source of encouragement for me right now.
If you resonated with this article even a little,
I would be happy if you could support me with a like, comment, or follow.
In this [AI Challenge from Age 64] series,
I am writing about the process of me, at 64, feeling bewildered by AI but gradually learning how to use it and exploring the possibilities of the second half of my life.
Next time,
I will continue to explore the possibilities of the second half of my life together with AI (ChatGPT).
