We are bringing you the highlights of the awards ceremony, where the winning creators and the media representatives who served as judges gathered together.
The awards ceremony was held at note place in Yotsuya, Tokyo.

We look back on the awards ceremony along with photos of the winning creators. At the ceremony, note CEO Kato presented trophies and medals. (Photos are only posted for those who have given permission for their faces to be shown.)
Winning Works
Futabasha Award
The Paleontologist's Husband | Honoka Nagase [Essay Category]

Thank you very much for selecting me for the 'Futabasha Award'. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Futabasha, everyone at note, and everyone who read my work.
I have lived my life relying only on groundless confidence, but I feel that by winning this award, I have finally been able to show some evidence. I can see a path where I was previously feeling my way in the dark. I will do my best to write even more interesting things from here on out.
Kadokawa Horror Bunko Award
The Perfect Family: The House of Hanging | Oori Kamigami [Horror Novel Category]
I still cannot hide my surprise at having won this award. I am genuinely happy that my work was chosen out of so many entries. The theme of this work is 'familial love,' but it is a 'merry bad end' story. I wrote it wanting the reader to feel a sense of unease and to feel increasingly uncomfortable as they read on. I will continue to devote myself to writing so that I can deliver works that people find interesting and scary to as many people as possible.
Shinchosha Bunko nex Award
Blood Path | Kiiko Mori [Horror Novel Category]

Thank you for selecting me for the Shinchosha Bunko nex Award. 'Blood Path' was the first work in my life that I wrote while looking directly at my own wounds. I am filled with both joy and surprise that a work I managed to create while crying as I peered into those wounds has been given the chance to be published like this. With the support of those around me, I have been able to stand on a new stage. I intend to hold on tight so that it can be published safely.
Asahi Shimbun Publications Award
Osaka Castle is Five Centimeters | Eri [Romance Novel Category]

I had always written novels just for myself. By starting on note, I gained an environment where my work is read and peers who live as 'expressors,' and I feel like I have been taught the reason for creating things. I want to continue to be a creator rather than just an author in the future. I sincerely thank everyone who has pushed me forward in various ways.
TV Tokyo Award
Lynching Post - That Crime, I Will Lynch It - | Nanana Shinomiya [Manga Original Story Category]
Thank you very much for this wonderful 'TV Tokyo Award'.
The work 'Lynching Post' was born from the desire to focus on social media and express the worries swirling in modern society.
Since it was an entry for the Manga Original Story category, I pursued realism by trying things like making the comments look like speech bubbles.
This award is special to me and is a memory I will never forget for the rest of my life.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who gave me such a wonderful opportunity.
Weekly Shonen Magazine Award
I Absolutely Don't Believe It | Kappy [Creative Manga Category]

My career began when 'Left Hand Ellen' won the grand prize in the same note contest as this Creative Awards. While I continued to draw as an indie artist and kept challenging myself in commercial magazines, two versions of myself started arguing. 'You're fine as you are,' and 'I absolutely don't believe that.'
Weekly Shonen Magazine Award
A Story About Foxes Who Have Too Much Free Time Because Kokkuri-san Has Gone Out of Style | joyatoh [Creative Manga Category]
I recently acquired a heart strong enough to finally enjoy horror, so I got fired up to draw horror! But no sooner had I started than I realized I had drawn a very peaceful manga. There are nine characters in just a few pages, and it was fun to draw their conversations while thinking about what kind of group each trio was.
Shonen Jump+ Award
A Story About a Human Working with an Immortal Alien | joyatoh [Creative Manga Category]
I drew this when I went to a hospital in the UK for a minor illness and was told, 'If you want treatment, there's a three-month wait,' which made me suddenly want to throw everything away and go back to Japan. As for the manga itself, I tried to make the visuals as cute as possible so that by expressing the delightful charm of an unknown place, people might conversely think, 'I want to go there.'
Bungeishunju Comic Editorial Department Award
A Story About a Clan That Will Die If They Don't Cut Off Their Growing Horns | joyatoh [Creative Manga Category]
When I think about what is truly necessary in life, I always remember my stay in a small town in the mountains of Laos. It was a place where there was nothing but exceptionally clear air, and I drew this while pondering what the decisive difference is between the residents for whom that place is their whole life and travelers like us.
Manga Mee Award
When I Dated a Comedian, Life Became Unpredictable. 'The Etiquette of Breaking Up' | Yamachi [Creative Manga Category]
Thank you very much for this wonderful award. I am happy that so many people read it. 'Continuing' is something that is truly full of hardship and worry. Even amidst the trends that change at high speed on media and social networking sites, human life exists, and the parts that are not broadcast are very steady and boring, but they are full of passion. I hope to draw a little more about the fact that the 'pain and preciousness of continuing' is equal for everyone, not just for comedians or people in the public eye.
Discover 21 Award
The Story of How the 'IR 1000 Knock' Method I Devised After Repeated Business Failures Was Quite Effective | Shun Kurosaki [Business Category]

I never imagined that I would receive so much response regarding the story of business creation, and furthermore, that I would receive an award like this.
I have written quite candidly on note, but the 'IR 1000 Knock' was born after trial and error and numerous failures.
In a business environment with increasing uncertainty, I would be happy if this could be of even a little help to the many entrepreneurs and business owners who are about to launch businesses from now on.
Toyo Keizai Inc. Award
If You Spend Two Hours Planning Your Schedule, Both Study and Work Will Go Well | Takayuki Miyake [Business Category]

Whether it's studying or working, if you try to get motivated, decide what to do, start doing it, wonder whether to keep doing it, and decide when to finish... you can't concentrate on the actual content. Even with the same use of time over a few days, some people say they have no time at all but are just hanging around, while others are playing to the fullest but still come prepared. I have put these mysteries and countermeasures into words. I would be happy if this helps to make your life a little richer.
President Online Award
Three Bankruptcy Crises in Entrepreneurship, 90,000 Yen Monthly Salary for a Married Couple. The Story of the 'Inventory Analysis SaaS' Created in Despair and the Family That Kept Supporting It | FULL KAITEN [Business Category]

There is a truth about life that I grasped from the three bankruptcy crises I experienced while starting a business and the experience of overcoming them.
That is that growth is like a spiral staircase.
Babies do not walk as soon as they are born. Similarly, neither people nor businesses grow suddenly.
No matter how difficult your current situation is, if you are making small evolutions, it is surely a path to a bright future.
The reason I applied was that I wanted to share this with many people. Thank you very much for the award.
note Award
The story of collecting 230 'se' (correct) marks for glass pens. | Mine no Momijiba [All Categories Division]
A comparison of glass pen endurance capabilities that I started as a self-satisfying wall-hitting review.
I felt joy and sorrow over the scramble for one-of-a-kind items.
I was surprised by the artists that I am a woman.
I ran around in confusion at the event venue in the middle of move-in work.
I tried futile struggles to suppress my desire for things by cutting off information.
And various other things, for four years now.
I am grateful to have had it see the light of day in the best possible form of receiving a note award.
From now on, as a glass pen researcher, while aiming to reach my fourth collection book, I would like to challenge myself with verification and interviews from different perspectives.

Comments from Shimura, Chairperson of the Creative Awards 2024 Steering Committee

From the service's launch until 2022, there was a tagline under the note logo that read 'Create, Connect, Deliver.' Even now that the logo has changed, our desire for note to be a place that supports creative activities, connects creators, readers, and media, and ensures works reach many people remains unchanged.
And all of us on the management team strongly hope that the Creative Awards will be a contest that embodies exactly that.
The Creative Awards started in 2022. Seeing a creator tweet, 'Even if I write a novel on note, it doesn't really reach anyone, and it's hard to get published,' I felt very frustrated, so last year we expanded the novel category. Since then, we've seen people make their debut as novelists and change their lives, and works have even been adapted into dramas. I feel that we have been able to take a step forward in 'delivering' through the Creative Awards, and that the Creative Awards have been able to support everyone's dreams.
This year, even more media outlets participated than last year, and with the addition of categories like business and manga, more creators and media have connected. I believe that many readers and creators, including our Best Reviewer Award winners, have also connected.
Now, I hope that from here on, with the power of the media and, above all, the creators, these works will reach even more people. And I hope you will all continue your creative activities. All of us here at note are rooting for you from the bottom of our hearts.
Reception
After the awards ceremony, we held a reception where we had a toast and enjoyed many conversations with the winners, publishers, and staff.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the creators who submitted their work, everyone who sent in their thoughts on the works, and all the participating media.
Moving forward, we will be working with creators and media to discuss the book and video adaptations of the winning works. Look forward to the day you see these works in web media, bookstores, on television, and more!
note will continue to create paths for creativity of all genres to be born and reach many people.
