Why I feel a bit heavy-hearted even though it's spring | Introvert | HSP temperament | OCD | Personal experience | Hidamari Diary #23
🌱 Why I feel a bit heavy-hearted even though it's spring
From spring to summer,
a season when colorful flowers bloom,
and the fresh green leaves become dazzling.

In truth,
this should be the time of year when the heart feels lightest.
And yet,
for some reason, I feel a little heavy-hearted every year.
It's like a faint mist is hanging over my heart.
I wonder when it started.
I began to feel naturally melancholic when spring arrived.
Choosing light clothes,
doing my makeup and nails to match,
and walking through town.
I used to love that time.
I haven't come to hate it even now.
But a few years ago,
I became unable to wear makeup due to allergies.
Perhaps due to the effects of menopause,
there are days when I find even going outside a bit burdensome.
Being HSP by nature,
I sometimes get tired of interacting with people.
Before I knew it,
the time I spend at home became the most comfortable.
The desire to go out and the desire to stay home.
There was a time when I felt a bit distressed, swaying between the two.
But now, it's different.
I can truly feel that the time I spend at home,
is deeply precious to me.
Growing flowers,
watching the medaka fish,
or slowly watching my favorite movies in the living room.
In such moments,
my feelings naturally settle.

Like when I was young,
I no longer feel the urge
to walk around town.
Even when I see people my age
spending their time actively,
unlike before,
I no longer feel the rush
to 'do the same myself.'
That feeling from back then, as if being rushed by something somewhere.
That anxiety, as if my heart were tied up.
It has gradually unraveled.
Now, I am just
happy to be able to stay calm.
🌱 In closing
I myself
have days where I am inevitably swallowed by anxiety.
At such times,
'I don't have to solve this right now'
'It's okay to create time where I don't have to think'
that is how I have supported myself.
I have also written about those specific methods in
'Hidamari Diary #18', 'Hidamari Diary #20', and 'Hidamari Diary #1 '.
I can't confide in anyone.
Carrying it alone makes life difficult.
I want to know the correct information.

I hope it serves as a hint
for those who are suffering in the same way.
