Tales Report
I currently have two novels (horror and comedy) posted on Tales. Both are rewrites from last year. When I reread them, the poor quality made me want to cover my eyes, so I decided to rewrite them.
What I had imagined in my brain wasn't written down, and it ended up being just selfish and self-indulgent. However, I still have an attachment to even such messy work of my own. That is why I decided to take on the Creative Grand Prize with these rewrites this year.
The first one is complete.
・Doshaemon
I had a lot of fun while rewriting it.
I started posting before Tales began its ranking system, so I thought I would be pushed into a corner once it started.
When I opened the lid, it was initially ranked 6th in the horror category! I was so happy that I posted a tweet about it on note.
On May 10th, it achieved the feat of being 1st in the horror category for daily, weekly, monthly, and cumulative rankings.
Since it is already complete, it has fallen in the daily (I don't know where it is now), weekly (33rd), and monthly (6th) rankings, but it still maintains 1st place cumulatively! It is currently 20th across all genres, so I think this is quite an achievement.
I wrote the emotional movements and descriptions of each character in great detail. I changed the grandmother who influences the protagonist to a great-grandmother and added plenty of wrinkles! Because of that, she cannot see her surroundings unless she pinches her eyelids with her fingers.I'm happy to hear comments saying the "tapun" (sagging) is scary!
This is all thanks to everyone who reads it. Thank you for the many recommendation reviews and feedback. I want to swing a stick around shouting "Doshaemon♪".
I also laughed out loud when homage works appeared.

I also reread this, felt the poor quality, and rewrote it. I was posting it while laughing last year, but I don't really understand what I wanted to convey. I am truly sorry to those who read it.
I must have been in a posting high, and although it was complete in my brain, it wasn't reflected in the text. I am truly sorry.
Based on last year's reflection, I am rewriting it with all my heart and have currently posted up to "Nana-kotsu" (Seventh Bone). Originally, I should be posting from "Hachi-kotsu" (Eighth Bone) onwards, but while I was excited and rewriting, it exceeded 27,000 characters by "Nana-kotsu".
Since 'Honekawa Sujiemon' is difficult to categorize under the Creative Awards categories, I have entered it into the Tales Original Entertainment category. However, the character limit is 50,000 characters.
After 'Hachi-hone,' I was planning to post 'Mosqui-nival,' the biggest incident for Honekawa Sujiemon. 'Mosqui-nival' depicts the battle between Honekawa Sujiemon and a mysterious group that turns every instance of the character 'ka' into 'mosquito' (ka). I tried to explain it a bit, but it's still hard to understand, isn't it?
In last year's posts, I received various comments about how 'ka' turned into 'mosquito' or about the 'mosqui-os' (chaos). I was happy, but I think it caused quite a bit of confusion. Even I, the author, am getting confused while explaining it. After rewriting, I want to make it a bit easier to understand—no, actually, I want to refine the expressions to make it even more 'mosqui-os.' Once it's finished, I hope you will enjoy the confusion.
'Mosqui-nival' already exceeds 11,000 characters with last year's lackluster expressions, so if I rewrite it, it will exceed 20,000 characters, which would go over the specified character limit.
But,
I really want to rewrite 'Mosqui-nival'
I want to convey the regretful feelings of Shingo Katori to everyone
I want to add a new episode where the literary master 'Camus' becomes 'Mosqui-mus'
I want Sujiemon to solve those things brilliantly

So, for now, I will stop posting 'Honekawa Sujiemon' while it remains serialized. I am considering whether to post the 'Mosqui-nival' incident after the Creative Awards end, or to make it a new challenge as 'Honekawa Sujiemon 2.' Which should I do? What do you think would be better?
Perhaps because Honekawa Sujiemon is in the popular Modern Fantasy category, its ranking is low. It might be luck that 'Doshaemon' is doing well, but I'm still happy about it!
'Honekawa Sujiemon' has received what I can only call a review, or rather, an incredibly uninhibited introduction.
I burst out laughing. They are a pro at promotion... My knees have gone weak and I am completely relaxed. Thank you♪
