🎪 Participating in the Chibi Creative Awards with a video

There is a creative event called the "Chibi Creative Awards."

It is a lively project where you can bring in works of all shapes and sizes. The collected works are lined up in a single collaborative magazine. My own piece will be placed right next to someone else's. Just imagining that view made me a little happy.

The people who opened this space are the organizers who I am always indebted to. Launching an event, preparing it, and running it until the end. I am sure the effort behind the scenes is considerable. The reason I am able to participate so happily like this is because I am being allowed to ride on top of that effort. Let me start by expressing my gratitude for that.

I chose the category for creating a single piece using the video generation tool called Pollo AI.

🐾 Usually ads, sometimes combat

Actually, I usually use this Pollo AI to make advertising videos. To ensure products and services are conveyed in a cute and clean way.

What I sometimes want to make, as someone like that, is an anime combat scene.

This is the second time I have brought a combat piece to a place like this. Once before, I had my two characters go on a rampage. I am at it again, unabashedly.

This time, I made it a story about the two of them slipping through a crowd of soldiers. The protagonists are the usual dog and acorn. The two, who are usually relaxing in the sun, run across a crumbling stone bridge before dawn toward the light ahead.

First, please take a look.

👀 If you look closely, various things are strange

……Wait a minute.

First of all, the beginning is exaggerated. A long bridge spanning a valley. A large city shining in the distance. It is set up like the start of an epic story. Even though the protagonists are those two little ones.

The bridge is full of soldiers from the start, coming from the front and the sides. The two were at full power right from the start. Along the way, an unusually large commander swings his sword down, but the dog dodges it smoothly. If you cut out just this part, it even has the air of a veteran.

The dog's arms multiply

And in the final stages, the dog's arms increase by about two.

It originally has four legs. Then two more are added. I started counting how many limbs it was fighting with in total, then stopped.

What are the two charging up doing?

The scene where they charge up a special move is also hard to understand. The dog is in a low stance with a very serious face, glowing green. Cool. On its back, the acorn is clinging on or flying backward. It seems only the dog is serious.

For all that, the technique unleashed was impressive. It swept away the soldiers filling the bridge all at once with a green light. Even though it was wandering around on my back just a moment ago, it knows when to get the job done. That's unfair.

To be honest, there are times when the acorn is just riding on the dog's back. Is it fighting, or is it just getting a ride? It's cute, so I'll let it slide.

As for the world, it's quite serious.

The bridge crumbles as they run across it. Stones fall into the valley, flags flutter, dust clouds drift by, and the entire screen is in motion. Through all of that, the two of them run without much panic. Just for that moment, they looked a little reliable.

There is sound included, too; you can hear the clashing of armor and the sound of crumbling stones. Just before the special move, it suddenly goes quiet. That part was actually quite professional.

🌙 Everything included, this is one piece.

The parts that went well, the parts where the arms multiplied—everything is included in this one piece. A dog that usually just sleeps, putting on a big performance even if it means growing extra arms. The owner won't ask where it learned such a technique.

Seeing a video like this lined up next to advertisements—I've come to think that's not so bad either.

When I first saw the video of the dog growing extra arms, I thought, 'Whoa! What do I do about this!', but after watching it many times, I thought, 'Maybe this is interesting in its own way!' and decided to release it.
Personally, I especially like the motion of charging up the special move. It's just too mysterious of a movement lol
