◆ A Night of Relaxation Begins in the Silence
I experienced the night time slot at 'Rita Sauna' for the first time.
I was a little worried about what the sauna would be like after the sun went down, but to sum it up—
It was amazing at night, too.
◆ It's a Summer Night, Yet... Few Bugs?
When you think of summer, the 'bug problem' is a concern. Especially in places surrounded by nature, there's an image of bugs gathering around lights at night.
I was particularly worried about the 'sandals' I would wear during the outdoor air bath.
Just in case, I soaked a towel in the cold water bath, wrung it out, and wiped the sandals with it, but I didn't see a single bug.
I also brought a paper fan, but I only used it a little at dusk and it barely saw any action.
The inside of the tent was well-protected against bugs, and I never felt bothered by them during the sauna. In fact, the sound of insects from outside felt like pleasant background music, enough to make me feel like I was camping.
It was far more comfortable than I had imagined, to the point where I was caught off guard.
◆ Private Time for Just the Two of Us
As it happened, there were no other users that day, so it was an unexpected 'private rental'.
Spending sauna time with just the two of us in the quiet, deep forest at night,
felt less like 'totono-i' (reaching a state of deep relaxation) and more like 'melting away'.
A time wrapped in heat and silence.
A space in front of a heat source like a bonfire, where no one can disturb you.
It was the most luxurious night imaginable.
◆ The Warmth of Stars, Space, and Fire
At reception, I was told, 'The sky might not be as clear in summer as it is in winter,' so I was a little anxious.
But when I happened to look up at the sky during the outdoor air bath, the Big Dipper was clearly visible in the night sky.
Because there were so few lights around, the stars felt surprisingly close.
And what surprised me even more was... that we saw the 'ISS (International Space Station)'!
As we watched a small dot of light glide across the sky together,
we were so excited, saying, 'Wait, is that... could it be?'
It became a mysterious and special night where we felt unexpectedly connected to space.
At that time, it was within two hours of sunset, there were no streetlights or other lights around, and it was just the right moment for the ISS to pass north of Sendai.

◆ Points to Note Because It's Night
Rita Sauna at night has minimal lighting.
The lighting on the premises is also quite subdued, and it's dark underfoot.
While it creates a fantastic atmosphere,
you need to be careful of small steps and slopes when moving around the water area and the outdoor air bath.
◆ Summary: I want you to experience both day and night
Melting into nature during the day, and being wrapped in the universe at night—.
I think that is what makes Lita Sauna so amazing.
For those visiting for the first time, I recommend using it during the bright hours.
However, for your second or third visit, please do try the 'Night Lita Sauna'.
The silence without any man-made objects, the clear starry sky, and the gentle heat like a bonfire.
A 'night of totonoi' spent just the two of you will surely become an unforgettable memory.
