Starting in September, a 'No-Failure' Habit Declaration🌿
September has started today, hasn't it?
Even as adults, that fresh feeling of 'September equals the new school term!' surprisingly stays with us.
With that momentum, I think many people feel like starting a new habit.
I am one of them.
I excitedly made a 'habit list'.
This time, I am declaring 7 'new September habits' that I am starting myself!
Please take a moment to think about 'what kind of habits do I want to acquire?' as well🎈
In 'Chizu's note',
● I want to live while cherishing what I 'love'
● I want to like myself more
I deliver words and actions to support you in doing just that🎁
🤸Habits to get moving
① Do facial exercises after applying toner in the morning
② Do TV calisthenics after finishing the Speak app in the morning
③ Do hip stretches when lying in bed at night
First, these are exercise-related habits.
I work a 'half-office, half-telework' schedule, but even on telework days, I often end up not stepping out of my room once because of back-to-back meetings and overtime.
Not stepping out of the room, and on top of that, having no exercise habits.
The fear that my muscle strength will weaken in the future and I won't be able to walk is growing.
So, I decided to start with habits I can do even inside my home.
TV calisthenics (the TV version of radio calisthenics) can be watched on YouTube anytime, right?
I tried doing TV calisthenics No. 1 and No. 2 in a row this morning, and by tonight, I'm suffering from muscle pain... lol
Since I have a habit of using the English conversation app 'Speak' in the morning, I decided to do the TV calisthenics right after that.
Along with that, I'm doing facial training where the effects are easy to see, and stretches to loosen up my hips that have become stiff from sitting all day.
I'm making these three my 'get moving' habits for September◎
🐾Habits to improve
④ Wear earphones while teleworking
⑤ Sunday Komeda is for reviewing the week and setting goals
Next, I set habit goals for increasing concentration and connecting to the future.
I really can't focus when working remotely.
No one is watching, my phone is within reach, and the work isn't fun...
When I lose focus like that, evening arrives in the blink of an eye, and I end up disappointed, thinking, 'Sigh... overtime again today.'
So, to stay focused while working remotely, I'm going to build the habit of 'wearing earphones while working' to listen to YouTube 'Pomodoro Technique' background music!
Also, I'm going to start reviewing 'what I worked hard on this week / what I want to do next week' every week.
The goal is to properly acknowledge what I've accomplished and praise myself to help me grow💡
I do 'Komeda morning activities' every Saturday and Sunday, so I've decided to use that time for my reviews.
Focusing hard while working and taking steps forward in my private life too.
September will be a month of self-improvement◎
📔Habit of nurturing my note
⑥ Read other people's notes and comment on 2 articles
⑦ One post each on X and Threads
I'm incorporating habits into my note as well!
I want to increase my interactions with other noters, so I want to continue reading articles, writing comments, and posting on social media without overdoing it.
If I push myself too hard, it won't last.
So, I've lowered the bar significantly to 'comment on 2 articles' and 'one post each,' and I want to increase the numbers once I've made them a habit.
🫧Growing steadily with small habits
I've decided to start 7 new habits in September.
I actually wanted to narrow it down to 5, but there are just so many things I want to do!
If these habits are successfully established, I plan to incorporate others from October onwards.
And what I was very careful about this time was finding ways to ensure I 'don't fail.'
I'll introduce what I paid attention to in my next article🍒
