I can laugh because I am alive
I used to be a little bad at laughing. I was a little uncomfortable.
When things were tough or when I faced unreasonable situations, I forced a fake smile to get through it, and I hated myself for it.
Isn't laughing something that should come naturally when you are truly happy naturally? That's what I thought, so I
kept my emotions bottled up. But one day, I realized
something. Sadness
and anger are both emotions that well up simply because I am truly alive emotions that well up. A few years ago, I fell ill and couldn't get out of bed for several days. At that time, I didn't even have the
capacity to feel frustration or
sadness; I was just doing my best just to breathe doing my best. When I recovered a little and finally got up to drink some warm tea
, the deliciousness made me let out a soft chuckle. In that moment, tears streamed down my face. Being able to laugh
is proof that my life is looking forward. It's not that I laugh because I'm happy, but that I can
laugh because I am filled with the energy to live. Even on days when you feel
frustrated enough to cry, or sad enough to feel suffocated, your heart
is desperately working to keep living. Cherishing your own emotions is cherishing. That is what becomes the small courage
we need to start walking toward tomorrow. What words
will you say to your own life today?
