Toyama West Ridge | The toughness of low mountains that slowly takes its toll after thirty

Crossing over thirty peaks.
Just crossing the narrow West Ridge.
It's low, but it's not easy.
The West Ridge route in Toyama.
The trail is narrow, with no room to escape on either side.
Climb and descend, descend and climb again.
Thirty times over.
It's not enough to leave you breathless.
It's not enough to make you stop.
But there is never a moment to let your guard down.
Each step leads to the next.
The ridge is narrow, and your gaze is naturally focused ahead.
Only two choices: move forward or turn back.
The moment your concentration breaks, your balance feels like it might break too.
When you suddenly look up, the view opens wide.
Toyama is right in front.
The silhouette of the twin peaks is clearly visible.
The fact that it's a low mountain,
only this scenery betrays that a little.
Even if it's low, it's truly tough.
There is a challenge here that numbers cannot convey.
After crossing thirty, I finally understand.
It piles up, and slowly takes its toll.
There was no need to attack it aggressively.
There is no reason to rush, and no reason to break your rhythm.
Just keep moving forward at the same pace.
On this West Ridge,
that stride never faltered until the end.
