Acrostic Poem "Self-Willed Woman" 💞 Poem + Column + Rap

Self-Willed Woman
I want to be honest with my heart
Generated kindness is not what I need
My true feelings are what I choose, even while lost
Always value myself before others
Nothing matters more than trusting these emotions
Woman rather than just that, I live as a human being

Self-Willed Woman
When we hear the word "selfish," words like self-centered, moody, and difficult to deal with often come to mind first for many people.
But is a self-willed woman really such a person?
A self-willed woman says what she wants when she wants it.
She says she dislikes what she dislikes.
She doesn't force herself to suppress those feelings
by blaming the atmosphere, her position, or her age.
That is all there is to it.
Many women are raised from a young age being told,
"Good children are those who can endure,"
"Good children are those who prioritize others."
As a result, without realizing it,
they develop the habit of putting their own true feelings last.
That is why being self-willed stands out.
Because in a place where silence has become the norm,
the person who speaks up looks out of place.
A self-willed woman may seem to act on a whim,
but in reality, she is very faithful to her sensibilities.
What she likes now, what she finds painful now.
The answers might change from yesterday to today.
Some might blame her for "lacking consistency."
But human hearts are inherently prone to swaying.
Accepting changing emotions as they are
is not immaturity, but rather closer to honesty.
Even in situations where enduring would keep things smooth,
she dares not ignore that small sense of discomfort.
Instead of swallowing it with a "whatever,"
she marks it within herself, saying, "This is how I felt."
That is not because she wants to hurt the other person.
It is a choice to not leave herself behind.
A self-willed woman
does not use her emotions to push others around.
Rather, she tries to take responsibility for her own feelings.
She keeps her distance from places where too much is expected of her,
and if someone tries to force an unreasonable role upon her,
she draws a clear line.
That demeanor might sometimes appear cold.
But it is also a kind of sincerity,
a refusal to treat her emotions carelessly.
Even in love,
a self-willed woman is easily misunderstood.
Capricious, too free, hard to grasp.
Sometimes she is called these things.
But she does not whittle herself down to be loved.
Rather than a relationship that breaks from trying too hard to fit in,
she chooses a relationship where her true self remains, even if it is clumsy.
As a result, there are moments when she chooses solitude.
Even so, she knows it is better than betraying herself.
A self-willed woman is not necessarily strong.
She gets lost, and she has regrets.
Sometimes she spends the night alone reflecting,
"Maybe I shouldn't have said that."
Yet the next day,
she does not stop feeling her own emotions.
That repetition is what shapes her.
Being self-willed
is not an attitude of ignoring others.
It is a stance of not ignoring one's own heart.
It is choosing to live a life where you take responsibility for your own senses,
rather than a life that meets someone else's expectations.
That is not an easy path.
It requires the resolve to accept the possibility of being disliked and the pain of being misunderstood.
Even so, a self-willed woman moves forward.
Using as her standard not how she looks to others,
but whether she can be herself.
Self-Willed Woman.
That is not the name for someone childish.
It is the name for someone who tries to live their life
through their own emotions.

"Self-Willed Woman" Ultra Hard Rap (Short)
Selfish? Nah, that's self-preservation
Swallowing my true feelings is self-destruction
Reading the room, being considerate, safe answers
If I disappear because of that, my existence is a waste
YES becomes NO, NO becomes GO
Fluctuating emotions, that's just how my brain works
It's not indecision, it's an update
The me from yesterday is no longer compatible
Patience equals virtue? That logic
Whose life is it? Whose convenience?
Rather than a me who is liked, a me I can be proud of
Rather than shaving down my ego, sharpening my will
Relationships that break when you conform are OUT
Relationships that remain through honesty are IN
The risk of being disliked? I'm well aware
Betraying myself is a heavier sin
S-e-l-f-w-i-l-l-e-d W-o-m-a-n
Not moody, just sensitive
What I want and what I don't, stated immediately
I'm in the pilot's seat steering the helm of my life
Selfishness equals honesty
Honesty equals freedom
Signing my name to this heart
...That is all, my way of life
