Shimane Prefecture School Lunch Menu: "Natto Salad"

Good morning.

It was hot yesterday...
It seems a bit better today than yesterday, though...

Well then, the other day, I made
"Natto Salad".

"Natto Salad" is apparently a school lunch menu item in Shimane Prefecture.

I thought it would be "raw vegetables topped with natto," but it was a completely different dish!

Since there were a few places that published recipes for this, I'll make it while arranging it to be easier for me to prepare!
The main ingredients look like this.

Cabbage, carrots, and ham are julienned.

Spinach is boiled and cut into about 4cm pieces.

Carrots are quickly boiled beforehand.

After that, put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix them together.
Natto in the pack, it might have saved time if I had mixed the seasonings in there first... (^◇^;)

Miso took a while to mix in evenly.

When mixed together, it looks like this.

Then just serve it in a bowl and it's done!

Hmm, delicious!
I'm hooked on this (≧∀≦)

Spinach leaves are coated with
miso-flavored natto, which is nice.Also, the texture of the
carrots and cabbage is good.And the

ham here and there adds a nice change of flavor!

I ate it freshly made, but if you let it sit for a while, the
ham flavor might spread throughout the whole dish.

For adults, it might be good to add even more
mustard!

Whoever thought of this combination is amazing!
I would never have thought of this!

I'll definitely make this again.

there are probably regional specialties, so I'm counting it as okay.
