○ Thinking simply makes your heart lighter — Decision-making criteria to cherish when you're lost
Getters Iida's “Stories to Boost Your Luck for 365 Days” is a book that
selects words to accompany each of the 365 days of the year and compiles them into one volume. It is a book that
reminds you with gentle words of important things that you tend to forget in your daily life
.
I personally find that opening this book every day gives me
a chance to reset my mental posture. I would be very happy if you could read it
at the start of your day.

■ June 2nd: "Think simply about everything"
The message for June 2nd gives us the realization that
“thinking simply” is different from “making decisions carelessly.”
Thinking simply does not mean making decisions carelessly without thinking at all.
・What is my purpose?
・Am I considering the other person?
It means making decisions without losing sight of what is important,
stripping away unnecessary emotions and anxieties.
When your worries grow, you might actually be making your own thoughts more complicated than they need to be.
■ Stop and think for a moment
If you speak or act based on your emotions, you may later regret it, thinking, “I shouldn't have said that” or “I should have made a different choice.”
At times like that, what is important is to stop for just a moment.
・Am I deciding based only on my current emotions?
・Is this action really leading to the result I want?
Just taking a little time to think can change your choices significantly.
■ Think about whether it aligns with your purpose
When you are lost, it is important to think, “Does this action align with my original purpose?”
For example, you might want to build a good relationship with someone, but you end up blaming them because you are emotional.
Or you might want to move forward, but you end up unable to act because you are only thinking about your anxieties.
Remembering your purpose reduces unnecessary hesitation and allows you to see
the actions that are truly necessary.
■ Imagine the other person's perspective
Instead of just focusing on how you feel, try considering
what kind of situation the other person is in.
Just doing that will naturally make your words and actions kinder.
People who can imagine the circumstances of others also have
fewer relationship troubles.
Valuing your connections with people might also be
one of the actions that improves your luck.
■ Have your own simple criteria
In life, there are many things that don't have an answer no matter how much you think about them.
That is precisely why I believe it is important to have
simple criteria
such as "Does this align with my purpose?" "Am I hurting anyone?" or "Will this help me move forward positively?"
simple criteria is important.
Rather than overthinking and becoming unable to act, take a step forward, no matter how small. I believe that building on those steps
leads to new opportunities and a better flow.
When you find yourself overthinking, take a moment to clear your mind.
"Think simply"
It is an important habit to be mindful of starting today.
