[Feature Introduction Part 2] The Story of Creating a Dedicated Browser to Restrict the Display of TAXI-Cloud BI [Taxi Business Support]
Hello.
I am a representative from Ageo Meter Shokai, a company that installs taxi meters and digital tachographs.
This time, I would like to talk about how we
**created a dedicated browser with restricted display content** for the cloud analysis service TAXI-Cloud BI.
Taxi business management screens surprisingly contain information you might not want to show.
The TAXI-Cloud BI system includes the following features:
Displaying the current location and operational status of company vehicles (fleet management)
Real-time sales and labor management
Analysis of past data and comparison of operational efficiency
Viewing a list of sales and performance records for each driver, etc.
It is a very convenient system, but
for example, we sometimes hear comments like this:
"I want to show the vehicle locations, but I don't want to show sales or monetary information."
"I want to share only the operational status, but showing the monetary figures is a bit..."
In fact, some managers want to avoid having all staff at the office see the sales information. That is a common concern.
So, I built a "dedicated browser" that can apply display restrictions.
With that in mind,
based on the idea of "showing only some information," I created a restricted dedicated browser that displays TAXI-Cloud BI while hiding monetary figures and unnecessary items.
Monetary and sales-related sections are hidden.
Login is automated (no need to type ID and password every time).
Designed to be easy to use just by launching it.
↓ Display comparison (standard browser vs. restricted browser)

It's subtle, but there's a management benefit in being able to 'let staff use it with peace of mind'
For example,
Even staff who aren't good with PCs can launch it without getting lost
They don't need to know the ID or password (also great for information management)
Sales data can only be seen by administrators—it's easier to maintain rules like this
As you can see, the goal of this tool is to reduce 'minor anxieties' in the operational workflow.
Of course, there are challenges.
Since this browser depends on the screen layout of TAXI-Cloud BI,
it will need to be modified again if the specifications change in the future.
However, I still decided to build it, thinking, 'If this makes daily work on the front lines a little easier, then it's worth it.'
A final word
This time, as 'Unique Things We Can Do at Ageo Meter Shokai Part 2,' I introduced the display restrictions for TAXI-Cloud BI.
I hope to introduce an advanced version of this system (linked with an SOS signal buzzer) in the near future.
If you have any requests for things that would be convenient to have, please let me know!
