Taking requests to erase someone's past.
That is my job.

It is not a dangerous story, but rather a mundane task.

Follies of youth. Slips of the tongue. Photos taken. Photos I let them take.

When a request comes in, I first search. Name, maiden name, handle names from back then. I pick up everything that comes up, one by one.

I do not pry into the circumstances.
Logic and empathy are unnecessary. Because it is necessary to treat it strictly as a job.

I trace the source of the repost, contact the administrator, and send a template message. Less than half reply. For those that do not, I pass them to the legal department. Two to three months per case.

I open today's list.
The requests are lined up.

The third one was my own name.

My fingers stopped.

Is it someone with the same name?

I check the date of birth. It matches.
The old address also matches.

The requester's name cannot be seen by me, the worker. That is the rule.

I have an idea.

I went back to the top of the list and started my usual work in order.
