Survival Strategies for 'Small-Minded People'.
Continuing from yesterday.
Starting with the conclusion for a change.
It is to 'find someone who will take care of you'.
That is it.
As I wrote yesterday, small-minded people tend to overflow easily, and when they do, they get angry immediately, talk immediately, act immediately, get depressed immediately, and justify themselves immediately.
They cannot understand the timing or the state of those around them or the other person. They take the same actions as people who don't understand. And then they realize it after things get awkward.
They are creatures that cannot live alone.
They need a mom.
A mom who understands even when they get angry immediately.
A mom who listens even when they talk immediately.
A mom who doesn't point things out even when they act immediately.
A mom who affirms them even when they get depressed immediately.
They need a mom.
Let's give up on 'standing on your own'. Even if you want it, or those around you want it, it's impossible.
Toxic parents never disappear from your sight, and you're stuck with a crappy boss, right?
You only have eyes for the absurdities of the world, don't you?
It's impossible. In that state. In such a state, 'standing on your own' is far off. It's endlessly far away. As sad as it is.
I will interview you.
'Are things going well?'
People who cannot answer 'so-so' are those who haven't properly stood on their own, or those who haven't found their owner, their mom figure.
It might seem extreme to offer only two choices, but I don't think it's that far off the mark.
Conversely, people who have distanced themselves from entanglements and are on the way to standing on their own, or who have managed to have good encounters, should be able to answer 'so-so'.
The point is that if 'standing on your own' might be a bit difficult for you, or you don't really want to do it, then you might want to focus your efforts on finding 'someone who will take good care of you'.
I feel like there's an ethical question about 'being kept' by someone, but I think it's somewhat unavoidable, don't you?
No one expects a dog to clean up the kitchen. Rather than feeling depressed for years over the fact that they can't clean the kitchen, it's better if they don't have to clean, only do it when they want to, and show their energetic side, which helps in many situations. After all, they're a dog.
Really, this isn't about attacking their character. Truly.
I am currently 'keeping' the 'president's son.' All the employees are keeping him.
He speaks on a whim, and once he starts, he talks about one thing after another that he thinks of while he's speaking. All the employees just nod along and let it slide.
When he's with a client who is on good terms with the president's son, even though we're at work and only have until 5 PM, he will keep talking about 'socioeconomics,' 'world affairs,' and 'hobbies and sports' until he himself needs to go to the bathroom.
Businessmen who get along with the dog are, well, dogs themselves, so they mistake social pleasantries for work and think that being agreeable is what adults do. Since they are playing 'pretend work,' they can't stop him from talking for so long.
And neither the employees nor I stop him.
That's because everyone views him as 'that kind of creature,' a 'different species.'
We never become a 'set,' and we keep a proper 'distance.'
Also, to make that easier to do, we stripped him of 'everything' that was 'work that only the president's son could do' or 'work processes that couldn't function without him.'
Things like, 'I'll take care of this!' or 'Please teach me that!'
So now, the company runs smoothly without any delays, regardless of whether the president's son cleans the kitchen or not. He can talk as long as he wants. The son is lively. After all, he's surrounded by 'moms' lol
Well, I can't exactly fire him.
He's never worked anywhere but his dad's company, and he's lived in his dad's house since he was born. His dad also asked me, 'Please take care of my son.'
But you know, he really does create 'good things.' It's amazing. Small-minded people are hopeless with 'people,' but they are excellent with 'things.' They really do create very good things.
He should have just taken over the company from his dad and created his 'own kingdom.' While he was blaming others and dragging his feet, I took it.
I took it because I thought that if things continued as they were, it would just become another one of those common 'low-income-producing companies.'
You know those companies where the son is the president, right?
They're always talking to clients, and only when they notice something do they start lecturing and pointing things out, and those talks are always long.
Among dogs, 'writing things off as expenses' is seen as 'adult-like,' so they accumulate stuff unnecessarily. It gets messy. Low-paid slaves have to clean up the mess.
It's no good. If you 'can't keep' them, you have to keep your distance from these kinds of dogs.
And if you do 'keep' them, don't treat the dog like an idiot; take proper care of it.
What kind of things does the dog want to do right now? What kind of state does the dog want to be in right now? Just like when you're actually keeping a dog, really observe the dog's personality.
Dedicate a certain amount of 'time' to the dog.
That's why I think small-minded people should focus on finding a big-hearted person who will observe them well and take good care of them, without treating them like idiots.
Focus on things like finding a mentor, finding a master, or meeting them in person.
Director Anno of Evangelion.
He also started to thrive once he found someone to 'keep' him—an 'owner,' a 'wife,' a 'mother figure.' I think he's a really good example.
So, you should look for an owner.
And once you've found one, you should definitely never let them go on your own.
In fact, take the current company president's son. If he weren't the president's son, he'd be 'biting' at everyone to the point where they'd all tell him he's fired.
It's the common 'I'll quit even though I can't!' 'I'll break up with you even though I can't!' 'I'll stop being kept even though I can't stand on my own!' scenario.
Unless there are special conditions like being the 'president's son,' you will eventually be 'kicked out'.
Even if you realize it when you're about to be kicked out, you wouldn't be able to 'kneel and beg' like in the drama Hanzawa Naoki, would you?
That person in Hanzawa Naoki could do it, but you couldn't, could you?
You wouldn't want to do it, and the relationship after doing so would change, wouldn't it?
You wouldn't like that, would you?
You couldn't do it, could you?
If so, before that happens, two steps before it does, just bow down and surrender in your heart early on.
You are wrapped in far more 'affection' than you realize, even more than the frustration you are feeling.
I'm not saying that toxic parents or crappy bosses love you, okay? Keep your distance from dogs like that. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm saying if you find a 'good person who will take care of you,' then 'stick with them'.
Don't let them go.
Realizing it only after you've lost it, or scrambling around after you're about to lose it—that's something even less than a dog would do.
If you feel uncomfortable being called a dog, then you need to be firmly conscious of at least 'not letting go'.
I think it's fine to be conscious of doing things like the 'Aflac commercial Chihuahua' saying 'Please don't abandon me' every now and then.
I understand that it feels a bit base.
But isn't that what a 'survival strategy' is?
This is also a solid 'grasp' of things. A 'grasp' of your own abilities. A 'grasp' of the current situation. A 'grasp' of your own future, knowing that if things continue like this, this is generally what will happen.
Even with calculating women, those who just imitate being 'calculating' are messy and gross, but those who grasp their own abilities and can calculate properly are even 'cool,' right?
Even for men, 'flattery' that is properly understood as a 'survival strategy' has a touch of 'beauty' mixed in.
'Survival strategy' is not something clean to begin with.
The world is mostly influenced by 'luck.' But doesn't the fact that you don't leave 'everything' up to 'luck' prove that you are 'not a dog'?
I think that 'choosing to be a dog' as a survival strategy is what proves that you are 'human'.
Why not try announcing it when you find a good person? I think it's fine to have a scene in your long life like, 'Ta-da! I'm announcing it! I've decided to let you take care of me! I'll do my best to be taken care of, so please take responsibility and take care of me!' lol
If the other person is a big-hearted person, they might just go along with it with a Kinnikuman-like attitude, saying, 'Whoa! I don't really know what you're saying, but that's some incredible confidence! ((( ;゚Д゚)))'
'Daring to be taken care of by someone like a dog'
'To do that, first find an owner'
Well, please just keep that in the back of your mind.
If you found it, and if it already has an owner. Never forget that.
You shouldn't let it go.
There are even dogs that will pick up the leash their owner dropped and bring it back to their owner's hand, you know.
The 'pan-paka-pan' sound effect is so Showa-era.
Oh, and by the way, I'm a 'cat person'.
