dkp has a reputation of having aggressive anti-ddos; automatically banning people who make too many requests. syncing their repo counts towards this which often leads to bans for regular (unrelated) package management.
perhaps a warning should accompany it's listing on this page? TipsyTheCat (talk) 22:46, 28 March 2026 (UTC)

- I've added Template:Expansion in Special:Diff/871109, so this discussion will not be overlooked.
- About Template:Warning vs Template:Note: I would prefer Note. Note is a "soft warning"—"beware! you may have some troubles", and Warning is "everything might be ruined and your system might be bricked", i.e. Warning is for total disaster, IMO. See also Help:Style#Notes, Warnings, Tips.
- And I do agree that any link to report/discussion is a must.
