Purchase & watch Primetime Channels on the YouTube Android app
- Open the YouTube app

- Tap on the You tab and go to Movies & TV.
- Under Primetime Channels, select the channel logo you want to purchase and follow the steps to purchase.
- You can also search for a network channel directly in the YouTube search bar and select Sign Up on the channel page to purchase a Primetime Channel.
- Once you’ve signed up, you can watch your Primetime Channels content through one of the below ways. Note you may need to turn on location sharing to watch certain content.
- Movies & Shows: In the YouTube explore menu, navigate to Movies & TV and click the Purchased tab. Your active Primetime Channel subscriptions and their recommended content will appear on the top of this page.
- Subscriptions: Access your Primetime Channels content via the Subscriptions tab along the bottom of your screen
- YouTube Search: Find specific titles or your channel homepages by using the search bar. Type the name of the movie, show, or the Primetime Channel to search and your available Primetime Channels content will be included in your search results
Purchase & watch Primetime Channels on a smart TV
- Open the YouTube app on your supported smart TV.
- From the lefthand menu, go to Movies & TV.
- Under Primetime Channels, select the channel you want and follow the steps to purchase.
- You can also search for a network channel, and select Sign Up to purchase a Primetime Channel. Once you’ve signed up, you can watch the networks you’ve purchased here and in your library. You may need to turn on location sharing to watch certain content.
Find promotional offers
You may be eligible for an introductory discount if you’re a new subscriber to that specific channel. If you have subscribed to the channel before, you’ll see the standard price. If you sign up for a promotional offer, you pay the lower price for the specific time listed (for example, 3 months). After that period ends, your subscription automatically renews at the standard monthly price. You can check your renewal date and price in your Settings. We’ll also send you an email when you sign up that tells you exactly when the standard price begins.
Info for YouTube Premium subscribers
Some YouTube Premium features, like ad-free viewing, are not available on Primetime Channels. If you’re a YouTube Premium subscriber, and you purchase a Primetime Channel, you cannot:
- Download programs for offline viewing
- Play videos in the background while using other apps on a mobile device
- Watch programs without commercial breaks
Info for YouTube TV subscribers
Most networks available for YouTube TV members to purchase individually are also available to buy with Primetime Channels. However, note the following regarding bundled packages and how they appear:
- Bundled Package Availability: You cannot purchase network packages—such as Sports Plus, Spanish Plus, or Entertainment Plus—directly as Primetime Channels.
- Access via YouTube TV: If you have purchased one of these bundled packages through YouTube TV, you will have access to any included network that also exists as an individual Primetime Channel directly within the YouTube app.
While YouTube TV subscribers can watch select programs on YouTube and YouTube TV, the watch experience may vary. YouTube gives access to certain premium features, content, and tiers that may not be available to you on YouTube TV.
