Get started with Gemini in Docs

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open a document in the Google Docs app .
2. At the top right, tap Ask Gemini .
3. In the panel that opens at the bottom, select a suggested prompt or write your own prompt.

Explore Gemini in Docs

Action	Description
Ask Gemini	Open Gemini.
Close	Close Gemini.
Clear history	Remove all generated text and images you did not insert into the document yet.
Copy	Copy a suggestion.
Good suggestion	Give positive feedback about a response from Gemini.
Bad suggestion	Report an issue with a response from Gemini.

Things to ask Gemini in Docs

• Summarize a document: You can use Gemini to give you a summary of your content.
  • To summarize, tap Summarize this document .
• Respond to questions about the document: You can ask Gemini any prompts, such as “Highlight the key takeaways”.
  • To ask a question, after Gemini responds to your prompt:
    1. In the “Enter a prompt here” field, enter your question.
    2. Tap Send .
• Create images: You can ask Gemini to generate images in Docs, such as “Generate an image for ...”
  1. In the "Enter a prompt here" field, enter your prompt.
  2. Tap Send .
     • Optional:
       • To preview the image: Tap the image.
       • To upload the image to Drive: At the top right, tap Add to Drive .
       • To download, share, or print the image: At the top right, tap More .
       • To copy, download, or insert the image: Touch and hold the image.

Give feedback on generated output

Google Workspace with Gemini is constantly learning and may not be able to support your request.

If you get a suggestion that’s inaccurate or that you feel is unsafe, you can submit feedback. Your feedback can help improve AI-assisted Workspace features and broader Google efforts in AI.

1. At the bottom of the generated text, tap Good suggestion or Bad suggestion .
   • If you tap Bad suggestion , you can select the issue.
2. Optional: You can enter additional feedback.
3. Select the data you want to share, like prompts and output.
   • If you don't want to share certain data, uncheck their boxes.
4. Click Submit.
