Equipment sold in stores no longer having stars?
For a real life days of playing now, none of the items in any of the stores have rare upgrades. They typically would have random star upgrades, usually 2-3, but they've all been just default gear with no upgrades since I've played a few missions on last Thursday and now a few missions on today Monday. I've probably cleared 5 scenario missions and 2-3 side missions during this time. Is it just random and i've gotten bad luck or is there something you can do to force the items sold in stores to have star upgrades?

You need to identify them. Same when crafting gear. You need to identify the item to get the extra details.

You unlock the antique dealer in a story mission, same as the weapon dealer in the bar. When you have access to shooter street, there is a antique dealer there, that can identify items.

No. you don't. Vendor's stuff is supposed to be already identified, I think. That's the only reason to buy it at that high price.
You might see a negative time counter until the next assortment of goods when this happens. This makes me think it is a bug. It resolves at random with restarting the game.
restarting the game seemed to fix it. or it rerolled the inventory to something with star upgrades. but either way, i've got my stars back. thanks!
Well, when I got to the armour shop, and get poacher sneakers, they are NOT identified. I have to identify them, to get the extra details.
I think it might just be random for the shop items to be identified or unidentified and I had just gotten lucky the first couple of times I checked.
