[Kobe Electric Railway] July 2025 Arimaguchi Station: Downbound Platform Slope Completed & Upbound Platform Extension in Progress

Barrier-free construction at Arimaguchi Station began in late June 2024.
I visited to check the progress of the construction before the three-day weekend in mid-July 2025.

First, the Shinkaichi side of the downbound platform.
The platform here was extended by about one car length between February 15 and 16, 2025.

By shifting the train stopping position toward Shinkaichi by about one car length, space was secured for installing a slope on the Arima side.

I have moved to the Arima/Sanda side of the downbound platform.

A portion of the existing platform has been removed, and a slope has been installed.
You can see how much was removed when comparing it to the upbound platform across the tracks.

When I visited in June, the slope floor and railings were temporary, and there was no roof, but the situation has changed significantly in one month.

Looking at the downbound platform from the level crossing side.

It is good that the roof has been extended over the level crossing.

Looking at the slope from the north ticket gate side.

Looking at the slope from the south ticket gate/upbound platform side.

Looking at the slope from the upbound platform.

You can clearly see that the platform was removed and a slope was installed.

Meanwhile, the upbound platform.

It is still just stairs.

This is the Shinkaichi side of the upbound platform.

The signal has been relocated, and platform extension work has begun.

Once the extension work is completed like the adjacent downbound platform, the slope installation work for the upbound platform will likely begin.

The barrier-free construction period is until late March 2026.
I would like to continue following the progress.
