How many years ago was 'New Fair Isle Knitting' published in 1986?
Since I was born in 1951, it was published when I was 35. I am 73 now. Assuming I didn't buy it immediately after publication, I probably acquired it about 30 to 35 years ago.

I have knitted a vest with this balloon pattern. Isn't this color scheme lovely?

It might be more suitable for a bag than for clothing.
With authentic Fair Isle patterns, the span of one pattern is long.
This is what I thought the meaning of 'New' was.
The patterns are simple, easy to understand, easy to knit, and the colors are clear.
New Fair Isle also seems to be entering my 'no longer doing' list.
Although many years have passed since its publication, I don't feel it is old at all.
