✨ Today's Message
Good morning.
Today is a day to "know that it is okay for you to pave your own way."
June, a Monday in the rainy season. Even if the sky feels a bit heavy, a new week has begun.
The stag stands at the head of the herd, quietly paving the way. Not to show off its strength, but simply taking one step at a time in the direction it believes in. You, too, can be like that stag today. Just take that first step, believing in your own power 💫

✨ Today's Member Article Introduction
Today, I am introducing an article by Sukima-san.
The moment I read the description of Japan immediately after the Meiji Restoration as "a state where you've acquired a company with 30 million employees, and each department has different rules," I knew it was a Sukima-san article.
The laws and financial systems were all over the place. There was no one in charge.
"Normally, you would run away. But Hirobumi Ito took it on."
I love the sense of speed in this sentence 💫
This article, which depicts Hirobumi Ito as the "first president of Japan Inc.," is interesting because it properly writes about the part where he is "not the type to excel on the battlefield."
Creating a constitution, creating a parliament, creating a cabinet.
A person who continued to create rules to move the organization, even while the staff on the ground thought, "Another meeting?"
The perspective that he was a person who did work that wasn't flashy but was absolutely necessary felt very much like Sukima-san 🌿
And I really love the part where Aritomo Yamagata from the previous article reappears.
The summary that "it's like the president and the HR manager fighting every day," but "Meiji Japan was able to maintain its balance precisely because these two were there," hits home as a realistic organizational theory, even while being a story about history.
The sentence that if it had been just one of them, things might have spiraled out of control, resonated the most quietly throughout the entire article.
"Flashy sales, showy projects, strong field operations. But without the rules and systems to support them, an organization cannot last long."
There was a moment when the final question shifted from being about history or management to a question for myself as I read it 🌙
This article is for those who love history, those interested in organizations and systems, and those doing 'unassuming but important work'.
