[The Long-Awaited Conclusion] The story of my first experience crying because a car being taken away felt so sad and pitiful.
The long-awaited conclusion... well, one might ask who exactly was waiting for it, but I've wanted to use this phrase at least once. 😅
I mean, it has a sort of epic ring to it, doesn't it? So, as a researcher of self-defense against violence, I felt I had to use it once—wait, that's just a bad pun. 🤣
Anyway, now that I've inserted a lame pun in the opening, I'll move on to the serious part. (^_^)b
This story is the third in a series of three articles... or at least it should be, making it the conclusion. I'll include the links to the first and second articles just in case, so if you haven't read them yet, I'd be happy if you read those first.
The first article "The story of my first experience crying because a car being taken away felt so sad and pitiful." [Part 1] is here.
The second article "The story of my first experience crying because a car being taken away felt so sad and pitiful." [Sequel] is here.
Now, in the previous sequel, I talked about how I ended up parting with my 6th car, a Honda Civic Shuttle, through an early lease termination after we decided it would stay with the company following our discussions. (^_^)b
I lived without a car for a while after that, but since the parking space I was renting was on a one-year contract, I thought it would be a waste to leave it empty. So, I decided to welcome a Toyota Soarer as my 7th car, which was the cool car I wanted at the time.
My relationship with this Soarer started on a sour note, as both front tires and wheels were stolen just one week after it was delivered. 😭
The parking lot I was renting was an outdoor lot converted from a vacant lot on the waterfront in Nishi-Kasai, so it was targeted by the group of thieves that were rampant at the time. 😥
The police officer in charge told me they would likely come back for the rear tires and aluminum wheels soon, so I kept watch for a few hours late at night for about a week, but perhaps they were wary of my presence, as the two rear tires remained safe. 😅
Even the police were dumbfounded during the investigation, saying they couldn't believe I would park a brand-new Soarer in such a dangerous lot. It was my own fault; those two tires and wheels were practically begging to be stolen. 🤣
Besides that, I also experienced my first-ever car accident with my 7th car. 😨
Since I was living in Tokyo, the car was ultimately just for leisure, so perhaps I was driving with a distracted mind. I was hit from the side at the rear left by a car that ran a red light and drove straight through, causing an accident severe enough to completely smash the hood of the other car. 😅
Thankfully, I saw the moment of impact clearly, so I didn't get whiplash and my neck and other parts were fine. 😂
Oh, that's right, it was one of the top four accidents where I almost died, but you can read about the time I failed to die in this article.
In the meantime, I gained some financial leeway and reached a certain age, and I started wanting to fulfill the dream I made when I was driving my 3rd car, a Honda Z—the dream of driving a Mercedes-Benz someday. 🤗
So, strike while the iron is hot... well, it wasn't exactly an impulse buy, but I went to a showroom just to look around. That was the turning point—and in this case, I'm convinced it was a stroke of luck rather than a stroke of bad luck, as my first Mercedes-Benz E-Class became my 8th car.
To be honest, my life changed after I started driving the 8th generation... No, rather than changed, I think it's that I gained the confidence to keep my own self-esteem calmly and as it is, neither too low nor too high.
In a sense, I feel like the 8th generation gave me the power to change my outlook on life and my values, but the nickname for this 8th generation was Marilyn.(^_^)b
I used the nickname Marilyn because it was the image that came to mind from her appearance, but of course, the origin was Marilyn Monroe.🤗
The 8th generation, Marilyn, also felt like she served as a pillar of support for me while I was busy working as a newly appointed president of a new company and establishing other new businesses.(^^ゞ
After driving that 8th generation for three years, instead of getting it inspected, I decided to trade it in for a Mercedes-Benz E-Class Avantgarde, which was one grade higher. That became my 9th generation car, but I kept the nickname and it remained Marilyn.🤗
Life after that was very enjoyable thanks to Marilyn, but what I learned from this experience was that people really do judge others by their appearance, their titles, and the cars they drive.🤔
Naturally, appearance includes luxury watches, accessories, and jewelry, but we had absolutely no interest in jewelry or accessories, and we couldn't afford to buy them anyway.🤣
So, when we were a young couple going on trips, even if we splurged and booked a nice inn that was a bit beyond our means, the more established or high-class the inn was, the more we felt the condescending gaze from the staff as if to say, 'You don't belong here, do you?'😥
I think judging people by their appearance or title is extremely shallow, but perhaps because of their line of work, people who often deal with celebrities and wealthy individuals tend to draw lines between rich and poor with the same eyes as those people themselves.😅
It's like someone who is proud and boasts as if their acquaintance's wealth or fame were their own achievement... you know.(^_^)b
I understand that feeling, but judging people by such yardsticks doesn't do you any good, so you shouldn't do it.😤
If you are swayed by such attributes of a person, like their possessions, titles, or social status, you will misjudge their true essence.
Well, it was the existence of the car that made me deeply realize that.
I used Marilyn's power to protect her from the relentless attacks of other people's gazes... oh, what a devious... person I was.🤣
...So, when will we get to the [Long-awaited Conclusion] The story of my first experience crying because it was so sad and pitiful to see my car being taken away!
Oh, I've already written this much, but it seems like it will take a little longer, so I'll save the conclusion for tomorrow and change the plan from three parts to four.😅
No, it really will end tomorrow... wait, is anyone even expecting that??
Yes, I understand.😥
For now, this story ends here.
So, this was supposed to be the long-awaited conclusion to "The story of my first experience feeling so sad and sorry for a car being taken away that I almost cried.," but... 🤣b
It's been pushed back until tomorrow again. 😅

Well then!
Polish the inside, not just the outside, and live carefree.
