Proposals are things you intentionally push through
The proposals referred to here are not just for clients, but also for superiors, subordinates, and everything in between.
In the first place, it is normal for a proposal not to be accepted unless you work hard to push it through.
You must never think that it is a given that a proposal will be accepted.
If you think that it is natural for a proposal to be accepted, then when it is not,
you will end up blaming the other party or the environment.
Example:
"The reason we couldn't get an interview application with this proposal is because the client's husband's wishes are too strong."
"My boss doesn't listen to me at all, and my opinions are constantly being rejected."
"My subordinate doesn't carry out what I tell them at all."
All of the above are ways of thinking based on the premise that your own proposal will be accepted.
There is no concept of self-reflection here.
It is a fundamentally blame-shifting attitude.
If you base your thinking on the premise that a proposal will not be accepted,
the responsibility for getting the proposal accepted lies with you, so your perspective on things changes.
Example
"The reason we couldn't get an interview application for this project is because I didn't recognize the husband's wishes and didn't prepare a counter-argument."
"The reason my boss doesn't listen to me at all is because my explanation is hard to understand."
"Because I didn't explain the background, my subordinate wasn't convinced and couldn't carry it out."
If you think based on the premise that a proposal will not be accepted, you will start to think positively about what efforts you need to make.
You can think of countermeasures.
I want to keep in mind that it is normal for proposals not to be accepted, and that to get them accepted, it is necessary to squeeze out a lot of ingenuity, preparation, and wisdom.
It is a famous book, but everything important about proposals is written in it.
