1. Documenting the journey to FIRE and life thereafter
I am in my 40s, still working as a company employee, and have reached a level where my income gains cover my living expenses. My foreign currency asset income has made it possible for me to sustain my lifestyle.
Even so, I have no intention of quitting my job just yet.
I still want to travel around the world.
I would rather live a normal life than a frugal one.
I want to spend time with a partner I can share my life with.
I also want to be prepared for the erosion of assets due to inflation.
For these reasons, I am continuing to expand my assets and income. Even if I achieve FIRE, I am the type who wants to continue living and working in places I like, with people I like, doing work I enjoy.
In this note, I will record:
・The process of increasing income while remaining a company employee
・Life and changes in perspective before and after FIRE
・Foreign currency income and asset planning
・The struggle of whether or not to quit my job
・The reality and lifestyle of being in my 40s
I will be documenting these things.
Rather than aiming for FIRE immediately, I will consider it only after creating a situation where I can quit with peace of mind.
I will document that process.
