A child's words: "Using good words makes you happy." | Relaxed Notes | Heart Recovery Memo 15
Hello.
I am waato,
a working mom of two currently on leave due to adjustment disorder.
Thank you for coming to read this note
🌱
The other day,
after finishing breakfast,
while getting ready to go to elementary school,
"If you use good words, you can become happy."
I would like to look back a little
on the day my first-grade child
started saying things like this.
◾️ A surprising remark one morning 😳
Suddenly,
my first-grade child
"I think that if you use good words,
you can become happy."
they suddenly started saying.
I was so surprised by my child's
unexpected and sudden remark
that I froze. lol
"Huh?😳Why did you think that?"
I asked back.
Then my child,
"Because, you shouldn't use bad words, right?"
"Besides, if you use good words,
everyone can get along, right?
And, that's a happy thing, so
doesn't that mean it's happiness?"
"So, I want to use good words."
Yes,
they told me as if it were obvious.
According to them,
they weren't taught this at school,
nor did they read it in a book,
they just thought of it themselves. lol
It was a
"law of happiness"that the child discovered on their own.
◾️ What I learned from my child
Upon hearing those words,
"Children sometimes say amazing things," I thought,
and
above all, I was taken aback.
What my child is saying,
Am I using "good words"
myself?
I often find myself
"What is happiness?"
"How can I live with peace of mind?"
thinking about things like that
in a complicated way.
But my older child
"Use good words."
They believed that just by doing that,
they could get closer to happiness.
Of course,
life might not be just about that.
While living,
we encounter many situations.
Even on sad days,
or when things are painful and difficult,
there are days when things don't go as planned.
Even so,
saying kind words to someone,
or saying to myself,
"Thank you for today. Good job."
as well.
The accumulation of such small words,
little by little,
might warm the hearts of those around us,
and our own hearts too.
I felt like my older child taught me that.
From that day on,
I felt like I could try to be conscious of using"good words"with myself and my family, even just a little.
Children sometimescasually teach usimportant thingsthat adults have forgotten.🌱
◾️Please let me know🌱
Recently,
is there a word from a family member close to you
that has stayed in your heart?
I feel like I was taught that by my older child.
From that day on, I decided to try to be mindful of using "good words" with myself and my family, even if just a little.
If you don't mind,
I would be happy if you could tell me just one thing🕊️
◾️Conclusion
Right now, I am
"How can I live with peace of mind?"
Holding that question,
I am gradually drawing my own map
for living with peace of mind.
While drawing that map,
"Even if I waver, I can return to myself."
That,
might be what leads to peace of mind
I am beginning to feel that a little.
In this note, I write about
heart recovery,
lifestyle and work styles,
and days with my family,
as "Yuru-log" and
short "Yuru Memo" entries.
For those in the middle of recovery,
those searching for a "way of living with peace of mind,"
those who want to be themselves,
and also,
those who watch over me quietly,
if you would like,
I would be happy if you could
drop by again🕊️
I hope this note will be, for you,
a time where you can return to "yourself" a little,
and breathe a little easier again,
I hope it becomes that kind of time🌿
See you again🕊️
