[Episode 1] Sakurai-san of Many Hobbies

"Sakurai-san of Many Hobbies" is a story dedicated to all those who work and those who can no longer work.
This is a comic essay that incorporates episodes I experienced myself.

The company I joined as a new graduate didn't have any work-style reforms yet... it was an environment where so-called "sports-spirit" and "corporate slave" mentalities were the norm.

It was a small-to-medium-sized enterprise run by a family-owned, one-man president, so although I joined with the title of "Web Designer," the work I actually did was more like a "jack-of-all-trades."

I still remember how I became exhausted, with no overtime pay, low wages, and daily occurrences of power harassment, moral harassment, and sexual harassment.

After quitting the company, I suffered from burnout syndrome...

Instead of working, I couldn't even get out of bed, had no motivation to do anything, and just kept self-denigrating... those listless days continued.

What saved my daily life like that was the existence of my hobbies.

Even if I fail, I'll try doing things I'm even slightly interested in for now.
By challenging myself with things I like, my vitality gradually returned, and it became a catalyst for regaining my sense of self.

I'm sure there are many people reading this article who have worked too hard, exhausted their minds and bodies, and lost sight of who they are.

I want to draw this manga for such people, so I would be happy if you could enjoy it as manga content that heals your heart even a little.

OZcomics is a new manga label created by Starts Publishing, so I plan to make the content relatable to daily life and enjoyable even if it were adapted into a video.

Therefore, from the second episode onwards...

• Art
• Reading
• Recycled kimonos
etc... I want to depict the hobbies I actually became obsessed with through the character Sakurai-san.

By enjoying hobbies, you gradually gain peace of mind and can move forward again...

I want to draw a work that can become a "hope" for people who can no longer work in their own way.
