From the Field of Housekeeping 18 | The Barrier of Going from 0 to 1, and a Decision to Try Again

I want to do this on my own. With only that feeling in my heart, I decided to start by taking action.

I built a website, made flyers, and even had them inserted into the newspaper.

I also took out liability insurance and prepared contract documents and my personal seal.

To be honest, my first challenge was fun. No one told me to do it; I thought for myself and shaped things myself. The process was so fresh, and I felt glad that I had tried it.

But reality was not that sweet.

Attracting customers is truly difficult.

Even after building a website and distributing flyers, requests for work rarely came in. I never imagined that the first step of going from 0 to 1 would be so far away. In the end, attracting customers on my own did not go well.

I was frustrated, but I didn't want to give up.

That was when I learned about a matching service for housekeeping. But honestly, I couldn't take the step right away. It required showing my face, and reviews were visible to everyone. For someone like me who had never exposed my privacy on the internet, that was a major block.

While feeling conflicted, time just kept passing by.

But then, I had a change of heart.

No advertising costs, a system for attracting customers already in place, and even liability insurance. Even with a 10% commission deducted, compared to those days when I made my own flyers and had them inserted into newspapers—

It's cheap. In fact, it's incredibly cheap.

I thought I should have debuted sooner.

And so, I knocked on the matching platform's door once again.
