Leftover Cooking👊Transforming into a Kid-Friendly Feast😆💪🍀→Dad completely defeated by the appetite of growing kids😂
I used some leftover beef stew mix from the fridge to make a simple leftover meal.
A perfect leftover microwave meal using cold rice, eggs, and cheese that's easy for kids to eat.
A record of home cooking (or maybe a snack?) that growing kids gobble up.
Today, Saturday, my oldest has club activities in the morning.
Well, that's the usual...
My youngest made plans with a classmate on their own... tennis at 2 PM even though it's scorching hot, and they even rented a court... (even though they're bad at it...😑)..
Maybe it's because of the heat, but both my oldest and youngest...
Keep saying, "I'm hungry!!"
Can't be helped!
Before lunch, I'll make them something hearty as a snack!!
I noticed this in the fridge a lot,
one leftover beef stew mix packet,

I chopped it up finely so it would dissolve easily.

In a 100-yen shop ramen cooker,
150cc of leftover milk
and the crushed beef stew mix.
600W for 1 minute 20 seconds.

Mix well to dissolve.

Add two servings of leftover cold rice
and 100cc of milk,
then mix.
Put on the included lid
and microwave at 600W for 3 minutes.
Add one leftover egg,

add some random ingredients (I think mixed vegetables would be good, but I didn't have any...),
mix it,
put the lid on,
and microwave at 600W for 3 minutes 30 seconds.
Serve in a gratin dish (I had some cut green beans left over, so I put those on top...),
cut up some leftover ham and put it on top (I was actually planning to use bacon).

Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste,
and top with plenty of cheese (this was the only new ingredient).

Without using plastic wrap or a lid,
microwave at 600W for 4 minutes.
Toast for 3 minutes,
sprinkle with leftover parsley, and it's done!

It looks the part.
It tastes the part too, and the kids said,
"Yum~✨😆 Make this again~🥰"
They said that.
And the kids just gobbled it right up.
But even after eating this, the kids weren't full😅
Growing years are scary~😂💦.
For lunch, I referred to the yakisoba I tried making for myself earlier↓
I made yaki-udon, corn soup, and prepared a separate side dish using the stir-fried vegetables I had prepped for the yaki-udon, and served it all😊
The moment I served it, the atmosphere at the table switched to "eating mode" instantly💦😑.
Wow~ the growing years... they eat so much...
I just watched from a distance😅😑
Even leftovers can become a proper dish if you get creative😆✨.
But it seems that's still not enough for a growing stomach😑😂💦.
I'll have to think of more filling menu items next time😑💦.
Dad's kitchen experiments will continue💪.
Even with this leftover dish, it still wasn't enough for my child's appetite.
I'll think of something more filling next time.
Dad's experiments will continue😊👍.
