#30|Final Day of the 30-Day Daily note Update Challenge

The "AI x note Growth Plan: Verifying with Manager GP" has finally reached its last day.
In 30 days, followers went from 56 to 507.
Total PV grew from 586 to 5,819, and the number of likes grew from 100 to 1,102.

I started note on [June 9th].
From there, I continued posting through trial and error, and even though I had over 100 likes—
for some reason, my followers stayed at 56.

"Why isn't it growing?" "How do you sell paid notes?"
Triggered by questions like these, I started the "Daily Update Challenge" on [June 19th].

In this article, I will look back on everything from those 30 days.
The reasons for growth, the reasons for lack of growth, and the reality of sales.
I hope this will be a reference for anyone who wants to seriously continue with note from here on out.

Reviewing Goals and Results

The goals I set before the challenge were something like this.

Numerical Goals

  • Followers: 500

  • Total PV: 5,000

Revenue Goals

  • Write 4 paid notes

  • Sell 10 copies of a 100-yen note

  • Total sales of 5,000 yen

Since I was a note beginner, I decided on the numerical goals quite vaguely.
The revenue goals were also round numbers and rough, but to be honest, it was difficult...

And here are the results after 30 days👇

I achieved all three goals for followers, PV, and likes.
More people read it than I expected, and the number of likes increased little by little every day.

However, only the revenue goal was not met.

I released 5 paid notes, and the number of copies sold is as follows.

  • 100-yen note x 5

  • 300 yen note x 3
    Total: 1,400 yen in sales

"Selling is harder than I imagined..."
This is my honest impression.

For reference, I'll also post a screenshot of the dashboard.

Here is the entire period from 6/9

Here is the one month of the challenge

Things I tried and improvements I made (Summary of measures)

I did everything I could think of to grow.
From small things to major changes in direction.
The main things I practiced over these 30 days are roughly like this.
I plan to write articles one by one about what I verified in detail and what I specifically did.

✍️ Changed how I write articles

  • At first, I just wrote what I thought, but halfway through, I started to be conscious of the structure: "Problem -> Empathy -> Specifics -> Summary."

  • I researched the real worries and words of readers from SNS and note posts, and started reflecting them in my articles.

  • By brainstorming the structure with AI (Manager GP), it became easier to organize the flow of the articles.

📊 Recorded and analyzed my own data every day

  • Every day, I recorded the number of PVs, likes, and followers in a spreadsheet.

  • I analyzed "which articles grew / which had weak reactions" and adjusted the titles and content.

  • I started paying attention to trends when looking at them as a series rather than as one-offs.

🔍 "Researched" other notes and practiced what I could imitate

  • I used their title naming, heading designs, and lead-in methods as references.

  • I incorporated small improvements in my own way, such as how to present a series and how to write a profile.

  • I was reading other people's notes not so much as "research subjects," but more like a hobby (lol).

💰 I bought paid notes and thought I had "learned" from them

  • By buying them myself, I understood the "psychology of the buyer" much better.

  • Where I had expectations and where I felt disappointed—that perspective was valuable.

  • However...if you ask me if I was able to fully utilize that for a "sellable note," honestly, it's questionable.

  • My regret is that I couldn't fully output what I learned and failed to reflect it in my work.

This is the first note I sold👇

This is the one that sold after I made a free post that got a good reaction into a paid one👇

📱 I also strengthened my dissemination on SNS (X)

  • I regularly posted "AI news" every morning and announcements about note updates.

  • I reposted posts that had good reactions and tried to redirect traffic back to my notes.

  • However, traffic from SNS is still low, and I am painfully aware of the "weakness in my flow design."I am currently feeling the pain of my weak flow design.

You can read about what kind of SNS habits I actually adopted in this article👇

Not just "keeping at it," but "changing while keeping at it"—I think having this mindset was definitely a big deal.
Trying, failing, and fixing again... those were the 30 days of repetition.
It was a 30-day cycle of trying, failing, and correcting.

Reflections and "what I understand now"

Honestly, this is the part that bothered me the most.
Even though I achieved my numerical goals, sales did not increase.

"Being read does not mean it will sell."
These 30 days were when I truly realized this.

🔗 Internal links and flow were weak

  • There was an overwhelming lack of flow to guide readers to other articles within my posts.

  • The introduction of paid notes was also "just pasting the URL," and it didn't follow a flow from the reader's perspective.

  • Even though I was writing in a series, my regret is that I didn't create any circulation between them.

🎯 The design of the traffic flow from SNS was weak

  • I worked hard on posting on X, but the way I 'guided' people to note was vague.

  • Just saying 'I updated today!' doesn't resonate.

  • I lacked the 'motivation for readers to want to read' and a story connecting to the post.

🏷 Design mistakes in titles and thumbnails

  • 'There are articles that don't grow even though the structure and content are not bad'
-- I believe the cause was how the titles and thumbnails were presented.

  • Articles with empathetic words or specific numbers in the title grew, but others had a sluggish response.

  • I used templates for thumbnails thinking I should 'create a sense of unity,' but
when viewed in a list, they might have looked 'the same' and were skipped over instead.

  • I learned that 'ingenuity to catch the eye' is more important than a sense of unity.

👥 There was no perspective on building a fan base

  • I was only thinking about 'getting people to read' and had few mechanisms to make them think 'I want to read more'.

  • I wasn't able to fully convey my 'personality' or the worldview of my note.

  • The way I presented my profile and note series
    still had a beginner-like feel.

✍️ The 'way of showing strengths' as a writer was weak

  • I thought I was 'writing well,' but
'what I'm good at' and 'how it's useful' weren't being conveyed.

  • I wrote notes to promote my achievements and skills, but
they weren't words that resonated with readers.

  • I felt the difficulty of conveying 'who I am'.

In short, the reason it didn't lead directly to sales is that
most of it was related to the 'traffic flow' part.

Just writing good articles isn't enough.
You need to design up to 'what action do you want them to take after reading?'

Now, I am beginning to understand that little by little.

Future prospects and a word to my readers

Over these 30 days, I gained 451 followers and received over 1,000 likes.
Updating my note every day led to many realizations and encounters.

However, the reflection so far is,more of a 'self-reflection' piece.

What you as readers are likely really interested in is,
'Why did the follower count increase so much?' and other 'reasons for growth'.

Regarding that,I will compile it into a separate article and publish it tomorrow.

Postscript 7/20: Here is what I actually did ↓

This note challenge ends here, but
I am sincerely grateful to everyone who has read this far.

Thank you so much for the likes and follows.
I would be happy if you continue to check out my future notes as well.

Finally

Thank you so much for reading this far.
Through this challenge called 'AI x Note Growth Plan | Verifying with Manager GP',
I realized the joy and difficulty of writing, and the 'scenery that can only be seen by continuing'.

I hope this 30-day trial and error process serves as a hint for someone.
And I will continue to share my own words through note from here on out.

If you'd like, your support through likes and follows would be encouraging.
A simple comment saying 'I'll come back to read again' is the greatest reward of all.
