Common sense is just a set of values implanted by others

To start with the conclusion, common sense is just
knowledge taught to us throughout our lives.
If you cannot question common sense,
you will only ever achieve ordinary results.

To begin with, what is common sense?

Since we were children, we have been educated to become cogs in an organization.

That applies to my parents' generation,
and the generations before them as well.

So, why were we taught that becoming a cog in an organization
is common sense?

It is because that makes society function,
and keeps the economy moving.

And that common sense was further rewritten,
changing to "If you graduate from a good school, you'll get a good job"
and "If you can get a job at a major company, you'll be happy."

When I was a student, everyone
was saying this.
So there were also
many people preparing for private middle school entrance exams.

Certainly, in an era where lifetime employment was guaranteed,
I think that was fine.

But how about in this day and age?
Due to long-term inflation,
prices just keep going up.

(When I was young, the unit price of
regular gasoline was under 100 yen.)

And even at major companies, there were
layoffs of thousands of people.

There was a time when a friend of mine was also
on the list for layoffs and was in trouble.

Companies threaten our livelihoods without a second thought,
using "streamlining" and "efficiency" as excuses.

I wonder if we can really
be happy like this.
I honestly don't think we can be happy at all.

So, the question is, what is happiness?
This is different for everyone.

Even in these times, there are probably people who think
that a life following that common sense is happiness.

On the other hand, I think there are also people like me
who believe that happiness lies in a life
that has stepped off those tracks.

However, no matter what form your happiness takes,
there is something you must think about.

That is, in this day and age, who is going to
protect us?

In other words,

You cannot rely on your company.
So, you need to worry about your own future
yourself.

What I mean is,
if you stay carefree as you are now,
before you know it, you will end up
just like everyone else.

And then,
you will just end up waiting for a future
that you have no idea what will bring.

It is not too late yet.
Let's take action now
to change your future.

Instead of watching TV like you always do,
read a book.
Stop watching entertainment videos
and start learning through audio.

People who do what others around them don't
are the ones finding success.

Those who changed their employee mindset,
created a source of income outside the company through a side job,
and acquired an entrepreneurial mindset.

Those who changed their mindset from blaming others to taking responsibility,
and seized opportunities for growth by solving problems from their own perspective.

Those who chose to learn on their days off rather than rest.

Successful people achieve success by changing their thinking
and their approach to things.

I realized that just a little bit earlier.

If I hadn't realized it, I think I would still be doing the same things as before,
sleeping until past noon on my days off,
and then playing games
or playing pachinko.

By adopting a different way of thinking than others,
I questioned common sense.

I didn't graduate from a prestigious school,
nor do I work for a major company.

That is precisely why I realized I was in a position where the company
would not protect me,
so I installed the mindset
of a successful person.

Ten or twenty years from now, I might
be laid off from my current company,

and I might end up living a life of part-time jobs
in my old age with declining physical strength.

Worried about such a future,
I changed my way of thinking and my mindset.
Because when you change that, your actions change,
and you can change your future.

But people who are inefficient
pour their energy into things
they cannot do anything about themselves.

The future of a company
cannot be changed by the power of one person.

That is why you should focus on your own future,
which you can change through your own efforts.

To do that, let's change the common sense
in your head and easily produce
different results.
