A Sluggish Day | The Tekka-don My Husband Made
My period started yesterday, and
today I couldn't move much due to menstrual cramps.
The pain eases up quite a bit if I take medicine, but
my body just feels so heavy, and I'm so sleepy 😪
It was a day spent being best friends with my futon.
So that I could rest properly, my husband
put our baby (daughter) in her stroller,
traveled 30 minutes each way to the supermarket, and picked up some groceries.
He's a super dad...
To me, he's a superhero...
Is this the power of paternity leave? I'm so grateful...
For some reason, our daughter started crying her eyes out before her bath.
She calmed down once we got in the bath together,
and after the bath, she fell asleep while still wrapped in her bath towel.
So cute.
When she's crying and stops after I pick her up,
my husband and others around us
sometimes say,
“I guess it has to be Mommy, huh~~”
Until now, I would say to the baby (daughter),
“That's not true, it was just a coincidence,”
but after reading a certain book recently,
I reflected on how, from a baby's perspective, she loves her mommy, so it would be sad to have that denied.
I'm not a baby, so
I don't know for sure,
but even if it's just me being full of myself,
I've decided to confidently say,
“That's right, you love Mommy, don't you?
You get lonely when we're apart, don't you?
Mommy was lonely too!”

Since reading this book,
interacting with my baby (daughter) has become more fun,
and I feel more at ease.
The stance of “Babies know everything, so let's learn from them!” seems to suit me.
Once I finished putting her to sleep,
my husband took the tuna he bought at the supermarket,
placed it over the rice he cooked, and made me a tekka-don.

It was delicious......😋♡
It's okay to have nights like this where I write on note
while my husband uses my bottom like a drum.
I'm sleepy after all, so I'll go to bed now🥱
Good night🌘

After reading Megumi Yamada's note,
I too
was feeling a little sorry for myself, thinking,
"The day ended without me getting anything done."
But then I started to think, wait, isn't it amazing enough that I'm alive?
Isn't it incredible that I breastfed my baby (daughter)
and kept her belly full?
I've started to feel that way.
Grateful to have come across such a wonderful note.
This note👇 is so cute and absolutely the best.
I thought I'd try writing like this,
with a light and cute state of mind!
That's what this note is about.
I'm glad I was able to cherish and write down
another casual, ordinary, and happy day.
Thank you(。・ω・。)
