If you're worried about what others think,
If you find yourself thinking about how others perceive you,
HSPs and sensitive people
often have these kinds of worries, don't they?
You somehow pick up on
the other person's expressions, gestures, and even their tone of voice.
I myself am an HSP, an introvert, and an INFJ.
I sometimes get exhausted from worrying too much about those around me.
But recently,
I've started to think that this 'worrying too much' personality might actually be a weapon.
That method is
using the eyes of others to maintain consistency.
Declare what you want to continue

If there is something you want to do,
try declaring it to someone.
Use the eyes of others.
It could be family, a partner, or a friend.
If that's too much, a note is also fine.
In my case,
・Waking up at 5 AM
・Working out 5 times a week
・Writing a note every day
I am continuing these three things.
・I declared waking up at 5 AM and working out to my wife.
・I also wrote about my daily note posts in my pinned article below.
Then,
a feeling of 'I said I would do it, so I have to'
naturally arises.
I don't want to be thought of as someone who is all talk,
and I want to keep going since I went to the trouble of declaring it.
And as for the pinned article,
some people have even paid to purchase it.
I can't quit now.
If I were to give up after calling myself a habit-building expert,
it would make me a liar.

In this way, you use the eyes of others.
And I believe this is a method that can only be used by people who worry about what others think.
Introverts and sensitive people.
They are serious and highly sincere people.
When you declare it, you start thinking about 'how to continue'

When you declare it,
there is another benefit.
When you declare it to someone,
you start thinking seriously about 'how can I keep this up?'
It's not just a feeling of 'Oh, it would be nice if I could keep it up,'
but you start thinking, 'What should I do to keep it up tomorrow?'
Here, you level up from just trying vaguely to thinking and putting in effort.
Don't rely only on willpower

That said, if you declare it and try recklessly,
you will surely fail.
I know this from personal experience.
I used to try hard with grit and willpower in the past.
But that didn't last long.
Blogs, side jobs, waking up early, studying.
I failed many times.
Even if I tried to continue with just the power of will,
in my case, it would break off after about a month.
So, while reading books and trying various things,I created a 'system that allows me to continue without trying too hard.'
Declaring x The right way to put in effortWith these two, your continuation rate will increase.
And now, I have grasped the tricks of habit formation.
Things I would have failed at before, I am increasingly able to turn into habits.
For example, recently,
During my morning activity time,
I'm currently taking on the challenge of 1,000 self-analysis questions
that I learned about after reading "The Magic of Memo."
Since coming home,
I've been thinking, "I want to get better at articulating my thoughts," and
I've also been continuing the articulation training
I learned from this book every single night.
In this way, I've become able to add new habits one after another.
For the old me, this is a change I couldn't have imagined.
"I can't stick with anything I do."
Even for those who think that way, you might be able to change if you change your approach.
I've summarized the tips for habit formation that I've put into practice.
If you're interested, please give it a read.
Summary

This time, the topic was: if you're worried about what others think, use it to your advantage.
HSPs and highly sensitive people might think that
"being someone who worries too much about what others think" is a bad thing.
But that trait can change depending on how you use it.
If you're worried about what others think,
you don't have to use it to blame yourself; you can use it to motivate yourself instead.
Try declaring what you want to do starting today!
Thank you for reading until the end.
