[BTS] Jin and the 95-line's 15-Minute Cooking [Vogue]

The cuteness squad has appeared in the kitchen!!

I saw an announcement on the Vogue channel that a promotional video was coming out, so I went to check it out, and lo and behold, it's a cooking competition between Jin and the 95-line!!

The main chef is Jin-teacher, with two cute assistants stuck to his sides. I'll say it again, they are cute!
It's a trio that has high sparkling idol power even within BTS, and two of them are also quite clumsy at cooking. This is going to be good!! Hey now.

It's terrifying that they would release something this good at 1:00 AM... I can't sleep anymore, so I'll just write this down before I go to bed lol

Jin, Jimin, and V's Cooking Class☆

Today's Menu

• Janchi-guksu (Korean warm noodle soup)

  • Onion, zucchini, carrot, sesame oil, beef brisket (chadolbagi), somen noodles, dashida

    • Sauce: Soy sauce and sugar (1:1), garlic, sesame seeds

• Misugaru (multi-grain powder drink)

  • 🐥Busan style: Misugaru first, then water, sugar (lots), and ice

  • 🐻Daegu style: Water first, then misugaru, honey (extra lots), and ice

  • 🐹Seoul style: Misugaru first, then milk, honey (a little), and ice

Starting with the Janchi-guksu

Jimin is tasked with cutting the zucchini, V with the green onions, and Jin goes to make the sauce (yangnyeomjang). Everyone around them already looks nervous.

It's okay. It's only about 1/10th as nerve-wracking as Namjoon's was yesterday, so this is manageable!

Jimin is struggling from the very first step: the zucchini.

Jin starts explaining the sauce recipe. Beside him, V notices something!

As he ties the apron strings for him, Jin smiles bitterly and says, "We should have done the carrots first..." Indeed, root vegetables take time to cook.

Hearing that, he immediately abandons the zucchini he was struggling with, grabs the carrots saying, "I have to do it for you," and then pulls a baby move, saying, "A lot of kids don't like carrots. I don't like them either." What are we supposed to do with this idol star? He still hasn't overcome that yet (*ﾉωﾉ)

Even though he intended to stir-fry the beef in a pot, it ends up in a frying pan (the culprit is V), but Jin quickly changes the procedure and gives precise instructions. He must have been a very capable assistant instructor (high praise).

Meanwhile, Jimin is struggling with the carrots.

Jin brushes it off by saying, "It's all the same once it's stewed anyway," with the poise of someone already on their second round of raising kids.
It's strange; time should be flowing at the same rate for everyone, so what's up with this childishness from the 95s?

While Jin is explaining the broth, the 95s, having nothing left to do, decide to make misugaru, cheerfully offering, "Can I do it Busan-style?" and "Then I'll do it Daegu-style." I wonder if they can hear their hyung talking? ( ;∀;)

Jimin looking for sugar. He picks up the container, sniffs it, says "As if it would have a scent," and just pours it in. Wait, taste it first lol

Around here, the talk about Misugaru and the soup tasting is all mixed up and it's chaos lol

By the way, Jimin used up all the sugar in the small bottle, but it seems the honey Misugaru Tae made was sweeter than that anyway lol

Introducing the album while boiling the somen noodles.
Tae starts talking after being prompted by Jimin, but the moment Jin finishes the Seoul-style Misugaru, he reaches for it.

He throws a strand of boiled somen onto the cutting board to check if it's done, but since it's somen, it just sticks to everything. That's spaghetti. And wasn't that kind of pointless anyway lol

Jimin finally tastes the finished soup.

Tae reads the cue card with gusto and asks Jin about the keyword "Together." Jin answers while draining the noodles. That's strange, I feel like it was Jimin who dumped the hot water earlier....

Finally time for plating!!
Jimin-chan, who seems to have come to his senses at the very last minute, holds out the bowl with a very sharp look, and I can feel the intensity like a young yakuza boss. Even though it's already the end.

Despite the many major accidents, the finished product is as beautiful as royal cuisine!
As expected of Jin-hyung. All the praise today is yours ( ;∀;)

After the younger brothers ate heartily and gave it their seal of approval with a "Survival!", Jin-kun, overcome with joy, presses his eyes and says "Thank you." My eyes are getting hot too, but I have a feeling these aren't tears of joy.

Strongly hope for a revisit

To think that the 95-line, who became adults after experiencing the artillery unit and special forces, have built such a... (choosing my words carefully)... unchanging relationship!!
Man, the 95-line's composure and bond are like shape-memory alloy. I can't stop being impressed by how they return to their original state when they are together, regardless of how many years have passed.

On the other hand, I also feel the mom inside me continuing to thank Jin-kun with all her might, saying "I'm sorry, thank you so much"...
I couldn't help but wonder which other chemistry could have managed this show well, but since the required skills are "cooking, hosting, and self-control," I couldn't come up with any answer other than "at least if Jin-kun is there, it will somehow work out" ( ;∀;)

They were so cute, I want them to appear again!
If possible, I want them to do a cooking special on Run BTS or Run Seokjin...!!
Praying that the promo period lasts forever (I might die from lack of sleep), I'm going to sleep for now lol
Next time I go to a Korean restaurant, I'll order noodles. Yes, let's do that.
