Review 100: I actually won
(*Please note that since this is a review received in the past, the date may differ from the current date)
Today I would like to share some happy news.
Today (8/12) there was a friendly tournament match in the prefecture.
The team was divided into 4 blocks, and we competed for rankings within our block, but,
I actually won!
Just as you advised, I didn't think about anything and became completely absorbed in the movement of the ball.
It felt like I had won just by doing that. I didn't get too nervous during the match and was able to enjoy it.
This is entirely thanks to "Tennis Zero" and you.
I just wanted to send this email to say thank you.
I will continue to practice Tennis Zero so that I can keep enjoying tennis.
Thank you so much.
A word from Tennis Zero: "The benefits of being 'absorbed (lost) in the ball'"
▶ The better the player, the more they are 'lost in the moment'
The phrase about being 'lost in the ball' might be a typo, but it might also be hitting the mark.
It is as if you are in a fog, where only the ball is visible, and the surrounding courts, the opponents,
the spectators, and your partnerare 'not visible'.
I think they are actually visible in the background, but metaphorically speaking, that is what it feels like.
When you concentrate on a night game, for example, against the pitch-black darkness, the yellow ball stands out clearly..
▶ Why did the Federer/Wawrinka pair almost collide?
Therefore, the better the doubles pair, the more they are playing while 'lost in the moment',so they might accidentally bump into each other (related article: "Two people overlapping").

Please check the last shot before the point ends.
This is not because they are a hastily formed pair of two unskilled players.
It is inevitable because they can only see the ball.
Or, having rackets clash between teammates is an everyday occurrence for pairs who are focused on the ball.
Here it is similar to the state where actress Rena Tanaka loses sight of her surroundings.
They are completely 'immersed'.
▶ The 'glasses of fear' that make you see too much of your surroundings
Pairs who can see their surroundings too clearly tend to hesitate and defer to each other on balls between them.
If you often find yourself hesitating or deferring, be careful.
You may be playing while wearing 'glasses of fear'.
Of course, it is scary to physically collide.
Because of that fear, you try to see everything—the surrounding courts, the opponents, the spectators, and your partner—but then your tennis doesn't go well, and it becomes even 'scarier' to hit the ball.
▶ Results are just a bonus that follows after enjoying the "now"
The way you say, "I ended up winning when I did that," perfectly expresses how you were "fully immersed in the world."
It feels like you weren't chasing the victory (the future), but rather enjoying the process (the now), and the result followed naturally. feeling.
The result of winning feels like nothing more than a "bonus."
▶ The best sport for enjoying life
I am glad that this has become a motivation for you to continue enjoying tennis.
I am not an expert, so I don't know for sure, but it seems to be scientifically the "best sport" for living a long, healthy life (related article: "The most affordable health habit").
Since you've had the good fortune of discovering tennis, you should enjoy life.
