I made a plugin to post note articles to WordPress with one click

The other day, I wrote an article about how I used AI to build a web app for myself.

I've been a bit hooked since then, and I've made various tools and plugins for my own use.

For example, things like these.

While making things like a BMI calculator to check my physical condition or a bill-splitting calculator for drinking parties, I thought, 'Let's pay more attention to the problems I face myself.'

I looked for little troubles in my daily life and things I thought, 'Couldn't I make this easier?'

It was a hassle to move note articles to WordPress

Among those, one problem I had was 'posting note articles to WordPress'.

The thing is, I've been writing a blog on WordPress for about 10 years, and I write articles on both note and WordPress.

I basically separate the articles I write for note and the ones for WordPress, but I also post note articles to WordPress as an archive or asset. (I set the WordPress side to noindex so it doesn't become duplicate content.)

But this task is quite a pain.

Open the admin dashboard -> Create a new post -> Copy and paste the note article -> Download the note images -> Upload images to media -> Embed images -> Publish

This alone takes quite a lot of time.

The note export function exports all articles, so I can't migrate just the articles I want.

'I want to move only specific note articles to WordPress.'

I looked for a tool that could do that with one click, but since there wasn't one, I made it.

Since existing services couldn't solve it, I made a service for myself.

What I made is a WordPress plugin.

I set up the plugin in WordPress, and by clicking the bookmarklet feature created there, I made a plugin that allows you to post articles from note to WordPress with one click, including images.

The features of this plugin are:

1. One-click import

Just by clicking the bookmarklet, the note article is automatically posted to WordPress.

2. Automatic image saving

Automatically uploads images within note articles to the WordPress media library.

3. Embed support

Automatically converts YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram embeds into shortcodes.

4. Selectable publication status

You can choose whether to publish or save as a draft when posting.

Even if there are cases where people want to move from note to WordPress, I wonder if there is much demand for migrating articles from note to WordPress on an individual article basis or at that scale.

However, even if it doesn't exist in the world, I have a strong need for it, so I made it, and it's incredibly convenient.

Completed in 3 days thanks to Generative AI (Genspark)

This plugin was also completed in 3 days by working steadily for 1 hour in the morning and 2 hours at night.

The service I used this time was also Genspark.

Things that would take months to build if you learned programming from scratch can be done in a few days by using AI.

Moreover, it is extremely fun to be able to create tools that solve your own problems yourself.

I think it's very interesting to create tools that solve my own problems little by little like this, even if I can't do it every day for web services.

Thanks to AI, I can quickly turn 'I wish I had this' into reality.

I think I will continue to look at my daily problems and create tools little by little.

By the way, it is currently only for individual articles, but I am planning to create a feature that allows you to select multiple articles you want to migrate and migrate them in bulk next time.
