The day my resolution for 'earning money' became clearer. A story of my struggle to declutter a tent and a suitcase
How is everyone spending the last day of the long weekend?
To those who have already started work, thank you for your hard work...
(If I worked a part-time job yesterday, does that mean I've already started work...?)
If you're wondering why I was working a part-time job, please take a look at yesterday's article👇
Anyway, putting that aside,
here is today's story.
After the new year began, I was tidying up my room when"things that no longer have a purpose"appeared from the depths.
The targets this time are these two.
Entry No. 1: Tent
I used to use it, but the new tent I bought is so excellent that this one has been sleeping for a long time.
I forcibly dragged it out of hibernation.

Entry No. 2: Carry-on suitcase
I dragged this one out of hibernation as well.

It looks clean and even has a key.
But the size was just awkward, so I never found a use for it...
It was too small for last year's trip to Hokkaido, so I used a different size, and conversely, I didn't even bring a suitcase for my 2-day, 1-night trip to Nagoya.
It didn't even get bulky after buying souvenirs.
What, you think my luggage was too light?
It's only one night, so a change of clothes and the bare minimum is all you need, right!
So, I figured it was time to retire them.
I went to a second-hand shop with the mindset of, "Well, it would be nice if I could get some pocket money."
The results were cruelly contrasting.
Entry No. 1: Tent
2,500 yen.👏
I'm happy with this.
If it helps someone else, I'm satisfied.

Entry No. 2: Carry-on suitcase
100 yen
(I might have looked at it five times, not just twice)
It was so cheap it was shocking; it was treated like junk.

Even though it's so clean.
Even though it has a key.
"The condition as an object"might be good, but if"market demand (is it an easy-to-use size, is it a popular model)"isn't there, it won't have any value.
As I wrote in yesterday's article, I once again keenly felt the difficulty and depth of"earning and obtaining money."
Even if you think"this has value,"if the other party(the market)doesn't want it, it won't turn into money.
It's just selling unwanted items, but I felt this is a harsh reality that applies to business, side hustles, and every"act of earning."
Well, tomorrow is the start of work.
Wait? Since I worked a part-time job yesterday, have I already started work...? (Second time)
The difference between the weight of a few hundred or a few thousand yen earned from selling unwanted items and the compensation earned from labor.
While savoring that feeling, I will return to being a corporate slave starting tomorrow.
The world is harsh, and earning money is difficult.
But even if you get tired of that reality, there must be"mindsets" and "ingenuity"to keep you from stopping your challenges.
In my notes starting tomorrow, I plan to write articles that are like"survival strategies"for surviving this tough world and continuing to take on challenges.
I'll keep building up even 0.1 steps starting tomorrow too.
