Benzaiten to me.
One of Japan's largest creative contests, "Creative Awards 2026," has been underway since April 8th.
In conjunction with the call for entries, we are starting a project called "#CreativeAwardImpressions" to read and support the submitted works!
Writing your impressions with "#CreativeAwardImpressions," as well as reading works, giving likes, and leaving comments, all serve as support for the creators.
Why not share your thoughts and feelings about the works you found interesting or the creators you support?
Until now, I had mainly posted articles centered on essays and photographs, but recently, I have awakened to the joy of writing pseudo-flash fiction.
I would like to introduce the creator who gave me that inspiration here.
Kinokoro-sanThey have many followers, and their popularity is evident from the works they create.
One of the entries that Kinokoro-san submitted to the Creative Awards is titled "There is 'Wealth' beyond 'Talent'—I will talk about the Goddess of Creativity, Benzaiten [Creative Awards]."
Kinokoro-san is so full of humor that when I started reading, I initially chuckled at the substitution of Benzaiten (Goddess of Wealth) with Benzaiten (Goddess of Talent), but I felt it was an homage to Benzaiten rather than a parody.
However, as I read on, I learned that the notation as "Benzaiten" was not an homage, and even just from the beginning, my brain was drawn into Kinokoro World.
I will refrain from writing the details here, as I want you to read Kinokoro-san's original text.
When I finished reading, the tension regarding my own creativity melted away, and I felt as if I were at the edge of a water surface where spring water bubbles up.
The small water droplets are the grains of words within me.
The small water droplets are the grains of musical notes within me.
The small water droplets are my dreams.
Eventually, the small water droplets turn into a puddle, and before long, they are carried by a small stream, being worn down and polished.
Kinokoro-san I started writing this while thinking I would support their work 📣, but I realized that I was the one being supported.
Kinokoro-san might just be Benzaiten to me.
