Talk Event: "How to Create Entertainment Original Works"

We will welcome scenario writer and author Fumiaki Maruto, who has worked on numerous hit media-mix projects such as "Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend" and "I Know I'm Late, But I've Fallen in Love with My Childhood Friend," to discuss "How to Create Entertainment Original Works."

He is scheduled to share practical content, including tips on character creation, points for structuring stories, and what he does to keep releasing works. The interviewer will be Tales Editor-in-Chief, Takeshi Hagiwara.

Public Editorial Meeting

Mr. Maruto and Tales Editor-in-Chief Hagiwara will review actual plots for entertainment original works and provide ideas for improvement. If you download the format below, fill it out, and submit your project proposal via the
event application form by Tuesday, April 22, Mr. Maruto and Mr. Hagiwara will provide their opinions from the perspective of how to make that project commercially viable. While there are no genre restrictions, the projects must be intended as "original works" for media such as manga or film.

[Project Proposal Format]

Also, due to time constraints, we believe we can only cover 2-3 projects in the public meeting, so if many are submitted, Mr. Maruto and Mr. Hagiwara will carefully review and select them. (Note: Although there is an author name field in the format, the public meeting will be conducted with names hidden.)

For projects not selected for the public meeting, we will provide a brief individual review after the event if time permits.

Please note that all project proposals and review content submitted for this event will, of course, be returned to the creator, so you are free to submit them to public competitions or publish them on the web.

※ An archive video of the first half, "How to Create Entertainment Original Works," will be released at a later date. We plan to turn the entire event into an article.
