Even though it's the same path, what I see has started to change.
Yesterday, I reached 200 consecutive days of posting on note.
Looking back,
in the beginning,
I feel like I only wrote about my heart.
My feelings at the time, and
the things I was thinking about.
By putting those into words,
I was looking at myself.
At some point, however,
The morning light.
The color of the sky.
The grass by the roadside.
The leaves swaying in the wind.
I started to notice
such casual scenery as well.
The me who used to write about my heart,
before I knew it,
had started writing about the scenery too.
And,
as I continued to write about the scenery,
the way I saw my own heart
also changed little by little.
This morning, too,
I walk the usual path.
The morning light
was still low,
illuminating the road.
"Good morning!"
From ahead,
a voice called out.
It was the usual person,
walking with a steady rhythm.
"Good morning."
I replied as well.
The morning air
is still a little cool.
Somewhere,
I can smell the grass.
I can hear the birds singing.
In the distance,
cars are driving by.
It was a typical morning.
And,
the mountain I always looked at
was there again today.
A mountain I have seen many times.
On sunny days,
its outline is clear.
On cloudy days,
it hides its form just a little.
Depending on the season,
its colors change too.
Even so,
the mountain has always been there.
I
have been walking while looking at that mountain.
The day I saw the morning light.
The day I saw the sky after the rain.
The day my eyes stopped on a small plant by the roadside.
I have put casual scenery
into words many times.
At first,
I just wanted to
settle my own heart.
Even on days when nothing special happened,
I wanted to find
one good thing.
"Today, too, I am living properly."
I think I was searching for something
that would let me feel that way.
Before I knew it,
200 days.
Every day,
a similar morning came.
I walked the same road,
looked at the same sky,
and gazed at similar scenery.
And yet,
the same scenery
has started to look a little different.
In a place that was just a road,
I now think the morning light is beautiful.
What was once just wind,
today feels pleasant.
In things I used to pass by without a thought,
I now feel a small story.
The scenery,
has not become special.
I,
have started to see it.
I have started to stop.
What I felt,
I have started to put into words.
Through that accumulation,
little by little,
my world has changed.
To continue,
was not to repeat the same thing.
Within the same scenery,
it was to see
something slightly different.
And,
that morning.
The mountain I always looked at,
looked a little different.
What changed,
I don't really know.
It's not that the mountain moved.
It's not that the sky was special.
Just,
for a while,
I looked at that mountain.
For 200 days,
I have watched the scenery.
And,
that scenery,
has changed me.
It doesn't have to be a special day.
It doesn't have to be a big event.
Even in days that seem unchanging,
there are things,
that are truly changing.
It might not be
the scenery itself,
but rather me,
who is looking at that scenery.
On Marine Day,
I wrote an article titled,
"I have lived my life searching for peace of mind."
I have always
searched for places where I could feel at ease,
people with whom I could feel at ease,
and times when I could feel at ease.
And now,
instead of just searching for peace of mind,
I am gradually
cultivating it within myself.
Looking at the scenery
might have been one way to do that.
To look at an ordinary morning,
while it remains ordinary,
with care.
Today, too,
I am here.
I am gradually accumulating moments
where I can feel that way.
Today is
Mountain Day.
The usual mountain
is there again today.
I will walk on again,
looking at that mountain.
Tomorrow, I will surely
walk the same path again.
And,
I think I will find
new scenery once more.
The scenery
has always been there.
What changes
might be me,
who receives that scenery.

I wrote 'I have lived searching for peace of mind.'
And today is Mountain Day.
As you cultivate peace of mind, the usual scenery starts to look a little different.
That is what I felt today, on my 200th day.🌿
If you'd like, please take a look at this as well.
