How to Strengthen Tongue Muscles (An Approach to Neck Stiffness)
I learned that as we grow into adulthood,
our tongue muscle strength declines.
If you check your usual tongue position,
you will likely find that it is often just hanging there
(everyone is like this, so don't feel down...🙏)
The correct position for the tongue, when relaxed, is
to naturally rest against the roof of the mouth, and you can learn to maintain this state by consistently doing simple tongue muscle training.
⭐︎Approach Method
It is called the 'Aiube Exercise,' where you move your mouth and tongue broadly to say 'A-i-u-be' about 30 times.
When you can keep your tongue in the correct position,
it supports your neck easily → it is easier to keep your neck in the correct position → neck stiffness decreases and your posture improves
—a positive cycle is created.
Also, by keeping the tongue in the correct position,
you will naturally breathe through your nose. Therefore,
⭐︎ Effects such as improvement in snoring (it improves mouth breathing and makes it harder for the tongue to block the throat)
⭐︎ Inflammation symptoms around the nose (such as hay fever or rhinitis) can also be suppressed
⭐︎ Tongue movement makes it easier to produce saliva, which boosts immunity
⭐︎ It becomes easier to relax (because having the tongue against the roof of the mouth and breathing through the nose makes the parasympathetic nervous system dominant)
and other health benefits can be expected.
Also, your face line will become sharper, so you can look cooler! ✌️ lol
Tongue muscle training is also recommended by otolaryngologists,
so please give it a try!
Thank you again for today.🤝
