[May] Monthly Reflection Diary
May was a month of a major life event: giving birth, welcoming a new family member, and starting a new life.
I would like to look back on that month of May.
May Goals
・Give birth to a healthy baby
・Update note every day (including short posts during the birth period)
・Publish on Kindle
・Get used to life as a family of four
Things I achieved in May
・Give birth to a healthy baby
Although it was 10 days earlier than the due date, I gave birth to a baby who had grown well to 3090g.
Just like my first delivery, I was able to proceed calmly with my second birth by focusing on the Sophrology method.
I was worried about how breastfeeding would go, but now the baby is nursing smoothly.
At three weeks old, the baby is exclusively breastfed and has reached 5kg. Growing up fast.
・Update note every day (including short posts during the birth period)
I gave birth on May 10th, and managed to continue posting every day, including two short posts.
Here is an article summarizing my thoughts on writing after reaching 450 days.
・Publish on Kindle
I actually wanted to publish on Kindle before the birth, but I didn't make it in time...
It is at a snail's pace, but thanks to my editor, it is progressing little by little.
Here is an article I wrote about ensuring I do what I can right now, even if it is just a little bit at a time.
・Get used to life as a family of four
The period of adjusting to a new life can be emotionally unstable for the family, but we are doing our best every day.
Even if we have our occasional arguments.
In particular, my eldest son is truly growing, even while experiencing conflicts and complex emotions.
Gratitude for May
・Gratitude to my husband and my parents' home.
My husband, my mother, and my sister help me with almost all the housework.
My mother and father take care of my eldest son.
Thanks to the cooperation of many people, I am able to focus on taking care of my newborn.
・Gratitude to my eldest son.
He talks to his younger brother a lot and helps me take care of him.
My eldest son reads picture books to my second son to help him fall asleep at night.
・The total number of views on my note has exceeded 104,000.
I also received 8 happy notifications this month, which I am very pleased about.
Thanks to those who always read my posts, I was able to enjoy updating them this month as well.
Thank you.
Learnings in May
[Learnings and realizations from reading and conversations]
・When you think something is interesting, incorporating it into your daily life and writing an article about it leads to new discoveries.
・To do something new, lower the hurdle. You don't need to do it perfectly.
・The triggers for aiming for something are scattered throughout daily life.
・The preparation period for welcoming something new is a time to review and organize.
・When you feel like you're suffocating, a morning walk feels great.
Goals for June
・Balancing childcare and housework
・Updating note every day
・Kindle publishing
・Taking family photos
Goals for 2023
I decided on the kanji for 2023 to be "Iku" (to raise/grow).
As I welcome a new family member, I want to make this a year where I nurture my life, my children, and myself.
While balancing childcare and work, my goal for 2023 is to make this a year where I can also steadily grow my work as a writer and financial planner.
