[Creative Award Impressions] The first fantasy novel I've ever read was ￢ PERFECT World

So, here are my thoughts on Nami-san's work, '￢ PERFECT World'.
A world where most of the land is covered in desert due to environmental destruction following a great war. In this harsh environment, a researcher succeeded in enhancing humans using the power of abandoned scientific technology. The name given to these 'evolved humans' was 'Perfect.' Lucia, who survived an attack on the laboratory, wandered the world, but in a certain village, she met a boy who reminded her of someone she once loved. Her interactions with the boy and his friends were pleasant, and Lucia gradually opened her heart to the boy, spending comfortable days there. Then, a gruesome incident suddenly occurs in that peaceful village. The comfortable world begins to break, and the time for both Lucia and the boys begins to move forward. Are the Perfects truly perfect humans? Even if they 'evolve,' are humans still human?
For someone like me who has never written a novel, the fact that Nami-san thought this through and wrote it is just amazing, and I have so much respect for you!
I heard you've had the concept since you were a student.
I'm grateful to be able to read it at this time, many years later.
I feel a sense of destiny.
From the descriptions in the story, I can strangely see the scenery.
How should I put it? I can picture the images.
Thanks to that, I can easily immerse myself in the world of the work.
Nami-san, your descriptions are excellent!
The main characters, even the Perfects, feel human and endearing.
You can see them growing while struggling with their own circumstances and thoughts.
Even setting aside the detailed settings, I was able to read it in no time at all after re-reading the first episode.
(Well then, I should have read it sooner, myself!)
I don't usually read fantasy novels.
But I was able to read this work smoothly.
The ending—this might be a spoiler, but it was truly good for Lucia... (I'm trying to convey this while avoiding spoilers as much as possible).
Once you read the final episode, Episode 8, let's go back to Episode 1 once more.
It's incredibly difficult to write impressions without spoilers, but it's truly interesting, so I really want you to read it.
