<14th Term> General Meeting of Shareholders: note(5243)

I will be attending the note(5243) General Meeting of Shareholders and Shareholders' Meeting held on February 28, 2026.
Based on my personal experience and the voices (articles) of several followers and users,

I have compiled these as improvement proposals.

Request details for the Shareholders' Meeting
This is a summary version φ(..) memo memo ☘🍀

Please refer to the following for details.

Please take a look as needed 👀

To throwaway accounts like Coco, Seri, Watanabe, etc.

This is a reminder (* ´艸`)

Introduction

Self-introduction 🍀
  • As a note user: I want a design that encourages continued support and interaction

  • As a shareholder: I want to reduce distrust and churn, and increase retention rates/monetization/trust

This is not about "likes or dislikes of features," but
an improvement proposal directly linked to user experience, health, and retention rates.

The main proposals are the following three.

φ(..) memo memo ☘🍀
  • A (Short-term): Transparency regarding "restrictions" on likes/comments/follows, etc.

  • B (Medium-term): Revival of the tweet function (short-text flow) or enhanced alternatives

  • C (Medium to Long-term): Countermeasures against slander (formulation of concrete action plans such as account disclosure, etc. Other items omitted this time), and segmentation or diversification of plans tailored to user demographics (analysis/sales funnels, etc.).

As for other items, I will also refer to "tip terminology" and "ease of finding paid articles".

Proposal A (Short-term): Transparency of various restrictions

Target: Likes/Comments/Follows

Current Issues

  • Even though I am just showing support or interacting, I am suddenly restricted and unable to perform actions at a certain frequency.

  • I understand that anti-spam measures are necessary.

  • However, because the criteria and guidelines for lifting restrictions are invisible, users become suspicious, and interaction tends to shrink.

  • Furthermore, speculation spreads, turning it into an 'urban legend,' which increases distrust in the experience.

Proposal (Request)

1) Please officially clarify the 'existence and policy'
If there are circumstances that make it difficult to disclose exact numerical values, at least please specify the following in the official help/FAQ:

  • Which actions are restricted (Likes/Comments/Follows)

  • The purpose of the restrictions (Safety, Soundness, Anti-spam measures)

  • Guidelines for lifting (a 'range' of time is acceptable)
    in the official help/FAQ.

2) Please make the UI display more user-friendly when restricted

  • Type of restriction (Likes/Comments/Follows)

  • Estimated time for lifting

  • Workarounds (taking a break, spacing out actions, etc.)
Just knowing these would greatly improve the experience. I want a design that shows 'what to do next' rather than 'suddenly being unable to do anything.'

3) Improve accuracy in distinguishing 'human support' from 'mechanical spam'
When enthusiastic fan activity is halted, the platform's temperature drops, which ultimately leads to churn. I request a design that does not accumulate frustration among well-intentioned users.

Goal (Short-term): First, clarify the policy. Reduce confusion and distrust.

Proposal B (Medium-term): Revival of the 'tsubuyaki' (short post) feature or strengthening of alternatives

Target: Tweets

Current Issues

  • Posting long-form articles is a high hurdle to maintain daily.

  • That is why short-form "tweets" were important as lightweight communication to maintain the temperature of interaction.

  • With the removal of the tweet feature, posting frequency has dropped, which tends to negatively impact engagement, return visits, and retention rates.

Proposal (Request)

  • Revival/enhancement of the tweet feature
(If revival is difficult, redesign an equivalent short-text space = lightweight posting).

  • The goal is a design that is "easy to post," "flows naturally into follower feeds," and "is not too noisy with notifications."

  • We seek a direction that protects not only long-form content but also casual communication as a value.

Goal (Medium-term): Boost active rates, engagement, and return visits.

φ(..) Memo memo☘🍀

Proposal C (Medium to Long-term): Measures against slander and defamation, and segmentation/diversification of plans tailored to user segments.

Segmentation of note users

I feel that note has matured and user objectives have diversified.

  • Casual users (interaction, diaries, short text)

  • Creator users (sales, analysis, lead flow design)

  • Business users (corporate operation: note pro, etc.)

When people with different objectives coexist under the same UI and evaluation criteria, friction is likely to occur. That is why I believe
segmentation of plans and features = diversification will be effective in the long term.

Proposal (Request)

  • For creators, clarify strengthening analysis, lead flows, and sales as "paid value."

  • Optimize by purpose: make interactions comfortable for casual users, and make growth visible for creators.

  • Recognize that the current response manual is insufficient for slander, and improve, revise, and expand the response content.

Goal (medium to long term): Create an environment where users can enjoy note for their respective purposes. Also, make improvements as needed.

φ(..) Taking notes ☘🍀

How do you all feel about the restrictions on likes, comments, and follows?
If there are personal experiences, it will be easier to convey them as "real feelings" at the shareholder meeting.

Please let me know in the comments if you'd like 🍀
  • What kind of restrictions? (Likes/Comments/Follows)

  • Device (Smartphone/PC)

  • What was the situation? (Roughly is fine)

  • The biggest trouble (1 line)

  • Naming and appearance of tips: The design of words creates culture. Consideration of expressions that convey feelings.

  • Discoverability of paid articles: Having a shelf where you can search for paid articles by category is a strong revenue funnel.

  • Countermeasures against slander and malicious comments: Dealing with malicious behavior, especially in paid articles, is directly linked to creators' psychological safety and continuity.

That is all.
Thank you very much φ(..) Taking notes ☘🍀
