For your 30s, on days you want to hide your midsection. A peplum blouse that doesn't look plain
Kankodori Zakka-ten mornings begin with the shop owner choosing their outfit for the day.

Today, I want to look a bit polished.
But I don't want to draw too much attention to my midsection.
Today's casual outfit is a tiered ruffle peplum blouse.
It softly hides the areas I want to cover,
and it's a piece that doesn't just end there.
The days I stop in front of the mirror in the morning are usually all the same.
Today, I want to look a bit polished.
But I don't want to wear anything tight.
I also don't have much energy to tuck in my top.
There are days when I want to hide my midsection.
But it's not right to just look like I'm wearing oversized clothes.
That is the hardest part.
What caught my eye on a morning like that was
the tiered ruffle peplum blouse.
Puku is curled up in his usual chair,
completely oblivious to my situation.
Cats have it easy. Even if their midsection is plump, it just adds to their charm.
Today's Outfit Memo

This piece is a tiered ruffle peplum blouse.
A very glamorous design with layered ruffles.
Honestly, I hesitated a little at first.
Would it be too sweet?
Would it make my upper body look bigger?
Those concerns are valid.
But this blouse isn't just glamorous; it also seemed like it would be
easy to gently disguise the midsection which is a plus.
With regular blouses, sometimes I'm more concerned about how they look from the side than from the front.
The way the fabric just falls and stops right around the stomach area.
There are actually many days when that bothers me.
In that regard, since the peplum has a shape that flares out from the start,
it seemed unlikely to cling.
Things I liked (just 3)
1) On days you want to hide your midsection, it doesn't just end up looking like loose clothing
This is the biggest point.
On days when I want to cover my figure,
I sometimes choose larger tops.
But even if I can hide it, sometimes it ends up looking like just 'comfy clothes'.
Even though this blouse is loose and airy,
it still looks like a properly designed garment.
It doesn't look like you're wearing it just to hide something.
That is quite important.
On days when I choose my clothes while worrying about my midsection,
I want to act like, 'I didn't actually want to hide anything.'
This seemed to fit that feeling quite well.

2) Just pairing it with black pants makes it look like you didn't just throw it on
This is also a lifesaver.
Simple tops are safe, but
there are days when they feel a bit lacking.
But thinking about accessories is a hassle.
Because this blouse has movement in the upper body,
even just pairing it with black pants or slim slacks,
it seemed like it would create a look suitable for going out.
What you need in the morning is
not a perfect outfit, but clothes that save you from having to decide.
In that sense, this piece is quite practical.

3) If you keep the bottom slim, the overall look is easier to balance
Blouses like this look difficult to style.
But if you keep the bottom sleek, it's surprisingly straightforward.
Black slim pants.
Tapered pants.
Draped slacks.
Those seemed quite easy to pair with it.
Conversely, if you widen the bottom as well, it will likely become difficult all at once.
With wide pants or voluminous skirts, the size might stand out more than the elegance.
On days you wear this blouse,
hide with the top, and balance with the bottom.
Thinking of it that way seems the easiest.

Points of concern (honestly)
There are some points of concern, too.
First of all, I think this is
a piece that is good for the midsection, but requires some care for the upper body.
Because it has plenty of ruffles,
for those with thickness around the chest or shoulders,
it might make the upper body look larger depending on the person.
If you feel reassured just by the phrase 'body coverage',
that might be a bit off.
It looks like the type of clothing where the areas you can hide and the areas that conversely stand out are distinct.
Also, it says it can be worn to the office, but
with this amount of ruffles, it might be quite flashy depending on your workplace.
If you're considering it as workwear, you might need to be a bit selective.
About the size (briefly)
It only comes in size M.
Since the total length is 48cm, it's not too long, so
the impression will likely change depending on whether the peplum's seam position fits you well.
For clothes like this, rather than just looking at the numbers,
it seemed better to think about whether it flares out just a bit above your natural waistline.
How to style it (one way you won't go wrong)

First, black slim pants or neat slacks.
I think this is the easiest way.
Since there is plenty of volume on top,
keeping the bottom simple is just right.
If you want to lean a bit more casual, you could wear slim denim.
However, if you make the bottom too sweet or wide, it seemed like it would suddenly become difficult to style.
It works better if you don't overdo everything.
It's probably that type of piece.
Puku is on the chair again today, looking like it's the most natural thing in the world.
It seems all a cat needs is a place where it can curl up.

Even on days when you want to gently hide your midsection,
this blouse didn't feel like I was just wearing oversized clothes.
