[Picture Book Review] 'The Letter from Santa'

　Reading this story, what left the biggest impression on me was the scene where the usually cheerful mouse postman is feeling down. It was a bit sad and pitiful to see the hardworking mouse trip. However, that sight was so endearing that I couldn't help but smile. I think it's precisely because the mouse is such a hard worker that the animals naturally gather around him out of concern. The scene where the animals argue about who the letter is for was very fun and made me smile. Seeing them seriously comparing themselves to the picture reminded me of how children eagerly await presents, and it warmed my heart.


　Also, in the scene where the bear helps the mouse in a pinch, I felt the importance of friendship. I think this story teaches us the importance of helping each other when someone is in trouble, and that things we can't do alone can be accomplished when everyone works together. In particular, the description of the "shining fir tree" when they meet Santa was impressive and captured the special atmosphere of Christmas.


　This story conveyed the importance of being helped by those around you when you're in trouble and the warmth of working together. Seeing the mouse, who had been feeling down, regain his energy and smile at the end made me feel happy too.
