What I want to do with this note in the future.

1. Introduction: Thank you so much for always reading

Hello!
I'm Yanagi, a former IT engineer and current certified care worker.

Before I knew it, it's been almost two months since I started this note.
I've also written over 30 articles.

Recently, more people have been reading my work than before, and I've been receiving more "likes" and warm comments, which is truly encouraging!

To everyone who reads my work, thank you so much✨

I am filled with surprise and joy that so many more people are reading and commenting than I ever imagined when I started this note😌

I read every single reaction from you all with care.
It makes me feel so warm inside to know that there are fellow people working just as hard on the other side of the screen.

Today, I'm writing this article to express my gratitude while also sharing with you what I want to do with this note in the future.

I would be happy if you could bear with me for a little while.

2. Why I write about "IT/AI" along with caregiving topics

"Caregiving" and "IT"

They sound like stories from completely different worlds, don't they?
Why did I decide to talk about IT and AI in this note?

It's because when I jumped into the world of caregiving, I felt that there were many things that were"a huge waste"purely and simply.

Before becoming a certified care worker, I worked at an IT company.
From my perspective, there are still so many analog aspects in the caregiving field. Of course, that doesn't mean it's all bad.

But, for example, Excel and Word.
Everyone uses them, but they don't use the convenient features at all, and they end up typing things in manually.
I've seen many situations where a task that took 30 minutes could have been finished in 5 minutes just by adding a single function.

"If we had this time, we could talk more slowly with the users"
"If this task could be automated, everyone could go home earlier"

I really felt that way so many times.

So, even though I thought it might be meddlesome, I taught my colleagues, "You can make this easier by doing it this way," or I made simple calculation tools for them.
Then, they were so happy, saying, "Wow, that's amazing!" and "It's like a lie that I used to spend hours on this!"

I suddenly thought,
"Could it be that this isn't just the case at my workplace?"

There might be many people in nursing care settings across Japan who are struggling unnecessarily, just like my former colleagues used to.
If that's the case, perhaps the IT knowledge I originally possess is something of great value that could help those people.

With just a little bit of knowledge that I share, someone's overtime might be reduced by an hour. With that hour, they might be able to enjoy a slow meal with their family.

Thinking about it that way, I want to deliver my experience to someone who might be struggling.
That is the biggest reason why I started this note.

3. What I will write about in my notes from now on

So, you might be wondering, "What exactly are you going to write about?"
Broadly speaking, I plan to write articles like this from now on.

3-1. Stories about the workplace and myself, as before

First, just as I have done until now, I plan to continue writing essays about what I feel daily in the nursing care workplace, important things I've learned from the people I care for, and sometimes even stories about my own blunders.
Also, as I touched upon in my previous article, I would like to talk little by little not only about the past, such as qualifications and changing jobs, but also about recent events.

After all, this is my starting point, so I want to continue to cherish the feelings that arise in the workplace above all else.

3-2. Tips for PC and smartphones to make work a little easier

Next, I'll share simple IT tips that are directly useful for nursing care work.
It's okay even if you're someone who says, "I don't understand computers at all!"
I intend to explain things clearly, at a level where you can just "press this button," so that anyone can copy it.

For example, I will focus on introducing things you can try immediately starting tomorrow, such as Excel tricks to speed up record-keeping or convenient smartphone apps that can be used to find topics for conversation with the people you care for.

3-3. Introductions to tools and materials I've created

I also want to introduce tools that I created in Excel or with AI because I thought, "It would be so convenient if something like this existed in the workplace..."

For example, simple Excel shift schedules or templates for work manuals. If there is anything that you can use as-is in your workplace, I would be very happy if you could make use of it.

4. About paid articles and magazine sales (to be honest)

And here is a slightly important announcement.
As I continue my activities, I am considering a new challenge. Since this involves money, please let me speak honestly and openly about it.

4-1. About paid articles and magazines

In the future, I may publish more specialized content or tools that took a lot of time to create (for example, assessment sheets that calculate automatically) as paid articles.
I have already published a nursing care handover notebook as a paid item in advance.
I think there will be a flow where you can try things for free like that, and then pay for higher-function versions.🌱

I am also thinking about bundling several articles written on a specific theme (for example, "Shift Management Techniques Using Excel") and selling them as a paid magazine.

Of course, this does not mean that free articles like the ones I have been writing on this note will disappear at all.
I will continue to update with all my heart, just as I have until now.

So, please think of the paid content as

a kind of "special study session" for those who think,
"I want to know more deeply"

or "I want to try using professional tools."

4-2. About affiliate marketing

And one more thing.
In my articles, I may introduce books that I have actually read and sincerely felt, "I definitely want my fellow care workers to read this!" or useful gadgets that I think, "This is super useful for night shifts!"

In such cases, I may include product links to sites like Amazon. If you purchase a product through those links, I receive a small commission (this is what's known as affiliate marketing).

Of course, I will only introducethings that I genuinely believe are goodI hope you can trust me on that.🙇‍♂️

5. Finally

This has become a bit long, but thank you so much for reading this far.

I've written a lot, but what I want to do is very simple,
it's just that I want to make care work easier and more enjoyable through the power of technology.

I recently started studying to become a Smart Caregiver, and I felt that care technology is actually more advanced in government and corporate sectors than those on the front lines might think; it's just the implementation that is lagging, so I believe a time will come when it will be useful.

I will continue to share my own experiences and information that might be useful from a front-line perspective in my own way.🌱

So, I would be very happy if you would continue to interact with me without hesitation.
Please feel free to let me know in the comments if you have any questions like, "I'm having trouble with this, can IT help?" or just your thoughts on the articles.

Thank you so much as always.🌸
I look forward to your continued support.😌

Please also take a look at the past articles I introduced along the way if you'd like.🍀
