Nature and Life, Which Is the Subject? (Chibi Creative Award Entry)
"Please just be yourself."
I am a little skeptical of these words.
Is nature really something kind?
Spring makes flowers bloom.
That same spring carries pollen, causing many people to suffer.
Summer nurtures life.
On the other hand, it becomes hot enough to take human lives.
Rivers provide moisture.
On days of heavy rain, they wash away homes, people, and memories.
Nature does not move
for anyone's convenience.

Nature cannot be described as kind.
It simply exists.
Nature. Life.
Humans are interesting.
When it suits us,"blessings of nature"we call it,
and when it is inconvenient,"natural disaster"we call it.
Nature has not changed at all.
Perhaps it is only our perception that has changed.
People are somewhat similar.
On a good day, they are a "kind person."
If they get angry, they are a "scary person."
If they fail, they are an "unreliable person."
Is that really so?
That person is the same person and has not changed.
Perhaps we are just cutting out and viewing only that one scene.
As a nurse,
as a manager,
I have met many people.
"Difficult people"some were called.
I feel doubt about how they are called.
When you know a little bit about that person's life, their behavior starts to seem natural.
There was a reason to be angry.
There was a reason to cry.
There was a reason to refuse help.
That person was from the beginning
They were not a "troublesome person".
It was just that their nature was there.
Their nature was simply present.
It was just there.

I cannot use the word "natural" lightly.
Nature is not just beautiful.
It is also cruel,
and unreasonable,
and yet it is also something that
sustains life.
That is why I think.
Being natural does not mean being a good person.
It does not mean living without deceiving yourself.
Joy,
anger,
sadness,
and weakness.
While embracing all of that,
to acknowledge the life that is you.
That is what true nature is.
And the wind blows again today.
Flowers dance,
and plants play music.
Nature has
never once explained itself.
Perhaps it is we humans
who are doing the talking.
So I will
add just a few words.
Nature does not teach life how to live.
I have changed my mind
again and again.
I have realized my mistakes,
and I have taken detours.
Each time, the scenery I could see grew wider.
Nature is never in the same form.

That is exactly why it is nature.
