[#AI Image Generation] Are these works by the same creator!? Delving into the 'phrasing' of deviant dark fantasy world-building and depiction 🪬 [nijijourney/AI Art]
Welcome, thank you for coming 🐲
I am Natsume, a creative writer and researcher of AI image and video generation 🐲
This time, I would like to write about my own take on 'expression' and 'depiction' in nijijourney, specifically regarding my 'approach to prompts' 😊
When you create AI illustrations or art, you think, What should I draw?, right?
What do you want to express in your prompt?
I believe you express that with words.
This time, I will delve into those 'words',
what you place as the subject of the drawing
changes the expression and depiction—did you know that?
This time, I would like to share a comparison of two pieces of art, accompanied by AI art for your viewing pleasure.
For those who feel stuck in a rut, or those who want to enjoy a variety of depictions.
I hope this serves as a helpful reference 😊
Also, I would be happy if you could enjoy this as a bit of entertainment 🥹
Previously, I explained in the articles below that nijijourney and midjourney are AI image generators with exceptional artistry that allow for adventure.
🔽 'Mood boards' are the first step toward individuality
🔽 The quirks of style references
Building on these, I think your perspective on AI image generation will change once again by
'changing' the expression and depiction based on what you place as the subject of the drawing
.
First, please take a look at these two images.
🌹 Prompt + Personalization + Style Reference + Mood Board used

Even when you say 'dark fantasy,' the expressions and depictions vary widely.
These two images have different prompt content and style reference numbers, but they are art with the same mood board. *Style reference (--sref)...
a type of parameter used in journey (I have linked Natsume's article for details).
These two images look like completely different art, but they are actually connected by a 'mood board'.
( ^ω^ )... Huh?
At this point, those who use journey's mood boards are probably thinking, 'Wait, what?'
Even though the mood board is the same, the art is completely different...💦
Yes, originally, a mood board is used to bring the result closer to the art style and atmosphere you like that you put into the mood board.
In other words, these two works fundamentally have different 'purposes,' or so to speak, different
subjects
that they are trying to depict, so in the case of grotesque type ①, the function of the mood board is not visibly apparent. However, the creator themselves can immediately tell that the mood board is working. Needless to say, the influence of the mood board is immediately apparent when comparing 'with mood board' and 'without mood board' using the same prompt.
Now, please enjoy the art a little more😍

🦋Dark Fantasy 'Woman'

👉 What is the difference between these 'grotesque' types and the 'female' types?
To put it simply, it is the difference in
whether the subject being drawn is a 'person' or 'not' based on the prompt description itself.
For the female one, since the prompt mentions a 'female', the female is expressed front and center, right?
So, is the 'not' side, the grotesque one, just a 'grotesque' spot?
Actually, that is not the case.
Of course, there are times when it is just one grotesque figure, but for the 'not' side, I do not mention 'anything specific as the subject'.
As a result, it became a composition that almost always has some kind of 'story'.
This is the influence of the 'prompt' on the depiction.
Prompts are important, but even if the style reference or mood board has strong habits (strong influence),
the prompt
will also exert its power, but in journey, it sometimes loses to the style reference parameter.
Losing means that since you are referencing a 'style', it is only natural that it is given more weight, right? It means that prompts that mention a style, or prompts that 'do not fit' that style, are less likely to be reflected 😊
This balance is also interesting (*´ω`)
👉 This is a strategy of changing the 'subject' to be drawn via the prompt and having the mood board expand the 'range' of what is drawn.
Oh, here is 'one' secret for the prompt of the 'not' side. *Please be aware that the horror depictions are quite strong.
What did you think?
Oh my, there is so much to do and think about; image generation is truly deep (*´ω`)💦✨ Especially with journey, it feels like watching a chemical reaction or conducting an experiment 🧐✨
It is very easy to say 'this becomes this kind of art!', but it is quite difficult to put into words the expression of what I am doing myself (*´ω`)nu~n
I would be happy if this could serve as a spark of inspiration for everyone's creative work (*´ω`)✨
That is all for this time 😊
Thank you always for your likes, comments, magazine additions, and for using Min-Photo 😊✨
It is truly encouraging (´;ω;`)🐳
Please continue to support my creative activities!
🦋 Bonus: Version without the mood board for Woman ① and Grotesque ①.

For Grotesque ②, the color palette and world-building are completely different.
Ah, mood boards are truly terrifying!! 💦
